Bug#614101: Debian 6.0 amd64 doesn't boot with Xen on Toshiba u300-13u
Package: xen-hypervisor-4.0-amd64 Version: 4.0.1-2 Either Xen, or the Dom0 kernel (I guess you know better) spits out error messages about ata4 containing "status: { DRDY ERR }" (similar error can be found googling DRDY ERR). I'm not putting the whole error message here because I couldn't copy-paste the message at the booting stage. I'm adding the autoconfigured menu

5-in-1 Card Reader in Acer Extensa 5220
Hello, I have installed CentOS 5 (2.6.18-53.1.4.el5) on my new Acer Extensa 5220 notebook and everything seems to work fine except of the following: 1) Display is ok, but could maybe be better? The driver is set to 'vesa' but should be 'intel', in my opinion. But 'intel' isn't working in xorg.conf. 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile GM965/GL960

Trouble with WOW "Trouble finding sutible display device".
The launcher downloads fine but when I push "Play" I get this error message. I am have not updated the drivers on my laptop because I have no idea how. Also, I installed "wine-1.2.2-i486.pet" which was probably the wrong move but it was a pain to find a .pet for wine 1.2.2. Yes, I know that downloading WOW on a Puppy linux box is a little silly but I am also having trouble

Did DirectX apps suffer regressions?
Some days ago I had installed wine 1.3.7 on Debian Stable "Lenny" AMD64. I could play DirectX games fine. Yesterday I installed Wine 1.3.11 on Debian Testing "Squeeze", and all DirectX apps crashed on startup. Then, I tested on Wine 1.1.4 and 1.2, but none made these apps work... Next, I tried on Wine 1.0, and worked! Also I tried under Wine 1.2 on Ubuntu 10.10, but

Sims 2 doesn't detect my graphics card correctly
When I try to run Sims 2 in Wine it doesn't detect my graphics card correctly. There was no problems during the installation. Picture of the error: [Image: http://merkelig.org/sims2/sims2error.png ] Although in the AppDB people report that the game runs fine except for some graphical glitches and my graphics card should support DirectX 9. I've tried to run it with Wine 1.0 and a Git

JeZ-l-Lee wrote: > Please Fix:"Allow DirectX apps to stop the mouse leaving their window" Good luck with that. It never really worked. Ever, not counting a special kind of DDraw games (haven't seen a single one yet, but the code is there...). AJ stated that until Wine will be stable enough it should never completely grab mouse/keyboard input. You'll need to reboot/power

allegro win32 directx apps
hi, Has anyone tried to get allegro win32 directx apps running under wine? I find that for the most part they seem to run, but some insist on using a non-existing bpp of 24 (should be 32), I've tried hacking the x11 driver and the direct draw hal code to match bpp 24 with 32 and the allegro app will run after that (if anyone is interested, attached is a patch for that). Now the allegro app

Wine DirectX on Mac OS X
I have been for a while now waiting to see if this would get fixed or improved at all, but it has not been so. What is the current status of trying to get OpenGL or DirectX programs (anything in Wine that requires OpenGL) to run on Mac OS X. I have, in all my searchings of the net, found no possible way of doing so at the moment. Wine compiles fine and finds openGL (both release version and git)

Problems with Directx
Ever since 1.1.27, I've been having problems with what I think is directx. I updated to 1.1.29 (I skipped .28) and I still get the same errors. I've tried using winetricks to install Directx9, but it doesn't do much to alleviate the problem. I've completely deleted my .wine folder and reinstalled 1.1.29 from scratch, but I still get the problem. I have the latest nVidia drivers

OpenGL version / info. needed for WINE to render DirectX
Howdy, the open source radeon driver doesn't get along too well with WINE. Most 3D games render extremely slowly, or not at all. In Project64, to take a random example, I get a lot of Code: fixme:d3d_draw:drawStridedSlow >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> GL_INVALID_OPERATION (0x502) from glEnd and previous calls @ drawprim.c / 570 errors. I know this
