Sins of a Solar Empire Drops sound
While Playing Sins of a Solar Empire I have noticed that the sounds drops and the game loses sound. I can see no console messages that relate to sound ( all opengl commands) and there is no real pattern to lose of sound or timing. I can play a game for 3-4 hours without losing sound, sometimes only 10 minutes and sometime its at the main menu. This can get really annoying as there is no way to

Hi all, I am currently playing around with Sins of a Solar Empire 1.05, usually I simply start the game in compiz, which works more or less good. I now tried the game without compiz, but the result was kind of strange. The screen remains black in the upper third. It is as iff there is some kind of offsett that is used to raw the graphics. And it is raqlly only the prahics of the game, the mouse

Sins of Solar Empire: crash
Hi all, I guess I am getting annoying, but I am really experiencing some problems with this game. I am trying to find the reason for these slow-downs in the game (there are already reports about this in the appdb). This time I managed to crash the game with this trace: > fixme:d3d:CreateVBO Failed to create a vertex buffer object. Continuing, but performance issues can occur >

However, I an having sound problems. Sound is stuttering in-game. I tried fiddling around with the sound options in winecfg, but nothing solved the problem (although Emulation instead of Full hardware

Sins of a solar empire buggy since kernel update
Greetings, i'm using Ubuntu 10.4 and the game used to run almost perfectly for me on wine installed from the 1.1.42-0ubuntu4+winepulse0.36~ppa1 package. However, after doing an update of the kernel of my OS something odd happened. The game starts, sound works and using the menus seem to be working as well, however the screen stays black. (I clicked around a bit blindly since i knew where the

RFC: Adding "minidump" support to obj2yaml
Hello all, yesterday I sent an email <http://lists.llvm.org/pipermail/lldb-dev/2019-March/014811.html> to lldb-dev proposing a new tool in lldb for yamlization of minidump files. It's been suggested to me that instead of a new tool it may be better to add support for that format to obj2yaml instead. Hence, this email. :) As I expect most people are unfamiliar with this format, I'm

Wine incorrectly appends ".so" to the libraries it loads
The problem itself is that Sins of a Solar Empire does not run under Wine, but I am quite confident that appending an extra ".so" is what's causing this game to crash, so I just made that the subject to hopefully get better results. I'm using Wine 1.2 on both my desktop computer and my laptop. Sins of a Solar Empire works on the desktop, but not the laptop. I started with a

Font Issues
I recently installed Wine and have been using it to run Delphi executables. Everything is great except the fonts. My forms are made using Arial. I've been trying to install Windows fonts which I downloaded from sourceforge, I installed the cabextract tool but everytime I try to extract the msttcorefonts spec it says failed dependencies the cabextract tools is needed and it's already

Network issue
Hi Stephen, Thanks again for getting back to me, Ivan Krylov responded also and suggested windows binaries and I must confess I was only familiar with installing from files via the package sources (apart from the conventional install.packages method), so the solution was as simple as installing via the binaries. Thanks again, best wishes, James From: stephen sefick <ssefick at gmail.com>

troubles with r300g driver
When trying to run Sins of a Solar Empire (but also some other apps) with r300g driver I have this problem. "r300: Max size of the constant buffer is 256*4 floats." followed by big troubles, for example with SoaSe there is broken rendering (everything except menus and control panels is black). Some time ago it was even worse (crash) so I opened a bug at FDO:

New solaR package
Hola. Os reenvío este anuncio de la lista r-packages. Recientemente he publicado un paquete llamado "solaR". Solar controller?
Hi NUT developers, we rely on NUT to access valuable UPS data for our autonomous telescopes (see http://rts2.org for list, locations are not complete..) . Thanks for a software which does exactly what we need. Now we are starting new era, with installing telescopes on hostile spots without infrastructure. So we will have a solar cells, storing power to batteries during day, to be used during
