Steam game wont start

Europa Universalis III Complete Steam crash during startup
System: Dell Studio 15, wine 1.2, Ubuntu 10.04 64-bit (GNOME+compiz), ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 I have all my favorite games up in wine now except Europa Universalis III. Problem running any games with Steam
When ever I try to run FEAR 2 or Half-Life in Steam the "Preparing to launch" window comes up and then disappears. I assume every game I have will do this same thing, but it takes way to long to install anything in Steam. wine-1.3.27 - breaks civ5 - ArchLinux (64bit)
Hi wine-1.3.26 played civ5 fine - I could install and play the steam version out the box (i.e I needed not to install any other components) When I install 1.3.27 I am not able to load civ5 from steam, wine crashes and I have to manually kill the process. Hello All, I've run into a sound problem with Dawn of War. It's the only game I can currently get running under wine so I can't test beyond it right now. Since update of January 15th Left 4 Dead 2 (steam) crashes
Hi all. I was using wine 1.3.10 to run Steam and Left 4 Dead2 successfully until recently. Last week, there was an update for Steam, and now I can't start Left 4 Dead 2. black ops multi : mouse buttons inactive
Hello there, i have a weird problem with Black ops : when i launch a multi-players session, the game menu shows up, sound works, but clicking the menu items is no-op. :( Launching a single player game, OTOH, is even worse : game freezes when displaying the "click to start" welcome message. :( In both cases I have to kill wine from the terminal to exit. Steam games do not work

Sudden Failure of All Games
Most notably, Team Fortress 2 and Counter Strike Source, in addition to Homeworld 2, all ran perfectly. I left for a while and returned.
