World of Warcraft freezes and stutters periodically
Hi, When I load World of Warcraft the CPU jumps from an average of 10-15% up to 100% and stays there pretty constantly whilst playing. This doesn't seem to affect gameplay most of the time (and I understand it may be relatively normal behaviour for running games under Wine), but occasionally I get a complete lock up of the game for about 3 seconds. The game screen freezes completely and the

Mouse cursor not visible in World of Warcraft 3.0.9
I'm running Linux Mint 6 "Felicia" and Wine 1.1.18, and I'm trying to get World of Warcraft Wrath of the Lich King working. I was able to install everything and get it running, but after the intro movie, the mouse cursor is completely invisible. It's still there, as I can mouse over buttons and click them, but I have no idea where the cursor actually is. Every so often,

Odd behavior in World of Warcraft
I am just messing around with wine and World of Warcraft, I am behind a firewall and presently unable to get out to WoW, but can get to the login screen fine. The problem is that I can run it with a clean .wtf (config file) and it starts up ok with defaults (DirectX mode) and seems smooth, I exit and then launch it again and it seems to "stutter" and I dont mean sound, but graphically.

Problem with World of Warcraft
I am having great trouble running World of Warcraft, after it has been installed. I copied over all the CD/DVD contents for both WoW and WoW:TBC on to my HDD and installed it, then patched it with Wine without a hitch. However, now when I go to run the game I get the following errors in the console: Code: mothermayi at mmi-desktop:~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/World of Warcraft$ wine WoW.exe

Problems with starting World of Warcraft under Ubuntu 10.04
Hey everyone, I recently had to reset my whole computer and I thought, I can finally get rid of Windows and just use Ubuntu. But now, I have problems starting World of Warcraft under Wine, which should actually work fine! I have rendering activated, but when I start WOW with this: Code: :~/Wine/World of Warcraft$ wine Wow.exe -opengl I get the error: Code: err:module:attach_process_dlls

World of Warcraft segmentation fault
I recently upgraded to a new hard disk and installed Kubuntu Hardy from scratch, I installed the latest version of wine 1.1.2 and tried to run World of Warcraft. I immediately get a segmentation fault with no other messages. I have tried installing a fresh copy of Warcraft from the install media with the same result. I also tried backing up to 1.1.1 with the same results and a fresh copy of .wine,

Mouse problems with Diablo 2 and Warcraft 3
I opened a bug regarding this problem. It seems that some patches were applied in 20050324 that messed up the mouse registering clicks. For Diablo 2, the mouse isn't rendered to the right/bottom 1/8th of the screen. And in both Diablo 2 and Warcraft 3, it seems that mouse events aren't being processed in those areas. I've opened a bug: http://bugs.winehq.com/show_bug.cgi?id=3067

Running Warcraft 3 + Listchecker a hosting tool
Running on a fresh install of Ubuntu Intrepid and WINE 1.1.10 I'm having some issues running warcraft 3 (the only game I play, so this is somewhat offputting). When starting Warcraft in normal (direct3d) mode the top and bottom panels stay there (making the game unplayable). I'm able to use -opengl and the game fullscreens correctly, but then when I start listchecker (a hosting tool

SegFault with World of Warcraft
Hello! A rather new wine user here. I'm running a 64bit ArchLinux and have installed wine and practically all 32bit libs, so as far as I know, I shouldn't have a problem there. I'm trying to play World of Warcraft, but when starting the game up, it complains about Segmentation Fault and something about the LD_LIBRARY_PATH.http://pastebin.com/m7d89e8d4 There is the output when

SOLVED: World of Warcraft d3d crash and rendring problems
Hi wine people, with some help from the Nvidia forum I managed to solve a problem with World of Warcraft 4.x.x that I suspect is directX / Wine related: Enabling -d3d9 and -d3d11 would cause the below mentioned problem with Wine 1.2.2, while it would crash World of Warcraft program under Wine 1.3.15 (Ubuntu 11.04 debs), while OpenGL runs perfectly (30-60 fps with all opengl settings on ultra):

1-60 Horde Leveling Guide for World of Warcraft
I either play a male character named Mancow or a female character named Joana. I have been first to 60 now on 6 different servers, one of my goals with World of Warcraft is to get to 60 on new servers with the least amount of /played time possible, this means each time I went to 60 in WoW I have been revising my routes in order to achieve a better /played time. So far my best time is 4 days 20

World of Warcraft on Linux Mint or Ubuntu, a doubt
Hi everyone I used to have Linux Mint 8 Helena and World of Warcraft patch 3.2.x, like less than a year ago I play on private servers (just because there's no way of payment for blizzard servers from Peru), and i had a bad experience with wine 1.0 (or 1.1.33, i can't remember - the thing is that wine 1.2 wasn't released) My FPS were like 19-20 when in windows it goes at 60-65, in

Warcraft III Frozen Throne: Mouse problem
Hi, I installed Warcraft III under Wine v20050524. Installation went just fine, but when I start the game with the -opengl flag, my mouse does not work correctly. I can't click on any buttons in the menu. When I start a game using the hotkeys, I get ingame. There the mouse doesn't work properly as well. Sometimes clicks are recognized, but I wouldn't call it playable. Any hints?

Ubuntu: World of Warcraft 3.3.5a OpenGL and Intel GMA issue
ok, I'll get straight to the point: I'm trying to run World of Warcraft (Version 3.3.5 Build 12340) and I have an Intel GMA 4500MHD Integrated chipset, and I can login just fine, but when it tries to render a character, it crashes and spits out an error via the WowError.exe, and if I don't use OpenGL, it can play, but the FPS will spike horribly at random times, and all player
