bug triage guide
Hello I was wondering if someone could put together a bug triage guide and put it on the wiki. I was looking for something to do tonight and z00dax said go hunt some bugs. So I went first to the wiki to look for a guide for a proper procedure on how the team would like bug triaging handled but didn't find one. I have triaged before but i know every place is different. So some guidelines

Still need help with ticket triage
As everyone probably realizes, I''m getting swamped with incoming problems and tickets and I still need help triaging the tickets. James Turnbull has volunteered to help some, but I think we need more than one person. We''ve had a few people step in once or twice, but I''d like to be able to depend on Unreviewed tickets getting handled by someone else, rather

[cfe-dev] RFC: Switching from Bugzilla to Github Issues
My only concern is the ability to get auto-subscribed onto issues for specific tools (i.e. the setup I currently have). If that can be resolved in a satisfactory manner, then I'm all for this (although less than two weeks seems like a rather ambitious time to switch over...). If it can't, then I'd be opposed to switching at all. On Thu, 30 Jan 2020 at 19:07, Tom Stellard via llvm-dev

samba_dlz shutting down on named reload
To a user, samba_dlz just doesn't work correctly with bind. There are two obvious options a) bind is broken somehow and unloads all modules when reloading b) samba_dlz is somehow broken in the way that it interfaces with bind, perhaps it misinterprets the signal to 'reload' when it receives it from bind. As a user, i have no way of knowing which is it is, all that I know is that

Sampling given a table of percentages?
I have a vector V. sum(V) = 100, i.e. it's percentages. length(V) is large. I wish to generate samples (with replacement is fine), integers, in the range 1:length(V) who's distribution is driven by the distribution implied by the percentages in V. V is unsorted, but that could change. I'd rather not be too specific about the distribution of V. I can certainly solve the

[Call for Volunteers] Bug triaging
Hi, Yesterday, I’ve landed a description for how reported bugs should be flowing through the various stages of a bug’s life (triage, fixing, closing, …) at http://llvm.org/docs/BugLifeCycle.html. Thanks for the many many people who provided ideas and feedback for this! With there now being a description of what is expected during bug triaging

[cfe-dev] [Call for Volunteers] Bug triaging
Hi Zach, Thanks for putting the data in a spreadsheet - that’s easier to navigate. And thanks for re-raising the question whether we have the right components in bugzilla. As I think this could be an area for lots of different opinions, without any near-perfect solution, it has the potential to be a discussion that drags on for a long time. I thought half of all bugs not getting triaged was a

RFC: Switching from Bugzilla to Github Issues
We held a round-table at the llvm dev conference about what other pieces of Github infrastructure we may want to use. This thread in particular is about switching to github issue tracking. Use of other parts of Github functionality was also discussed -- but that should be for other email threads. Most of the ideas here were from other people. I *believe* this proposal represents the overall

Reproducible samba bug with directory name
I just recreated this bug in samba-3.0.26a-3.3. It is as simple as creating a directory named "F-08-6104 International Management Assoc." (without the quotes), then looking at the name of the directory via XP. I've done it twice now: OpenSUSE 10.2 + Samba 3.0.23d-19.7 + XFS, all from Novell OpenSUSE 10.3 + samba-3.0.26a-3.3 + XFS, all from Novell With both I get the same wrong
