Switching to 16 bit colour ...
"bit of trouble" - good pun! But I do hope it gets solved. Can you make a bash file (oh no - a pun of my own!) to automate any of those annoyances? Would putting the game "in its own WINE" help at all? Tropico 3 Demo Graphics Problem - People are not visible
Hi! I am trying to run the Tropico 3 Demo on Wine 1.3.18. Everything is displaying fine (buildings, trees, etc.), except the people. The city looks like a ghost city, doors opening and closing but nobody is there. Can somebody help me what can be wrong? I tried different graphics options in the game, and different Direct 3d settings in the registry, but nothing seems to be working. I have a dll

Everytime i run it, it shows a loading screen for about 5 seconds and then closes and says either A serious error has occurred or "internal errors, invalid parameters" Does anyone know how to fix this and get this running. It would be really appreciated.

Wine is a program that enables users to run Windows programs on non-Windows operating systems, including Linux, and Mac OSX. Why would you want to install it on XP? migrating windows applications by packing wine+app in a deb?
Hello, I recently posted my experimental thoughts in the playonlinux forums, but I really want to open all possible channels to get feedback for the idea to deliver a complete (for the certain windows-app optimized) wine-structure, windows app and all nessassary wrapper scripts for processing the app in a deb. This would mean that every single application(-group) brings its own fitting

Hey there, I've been trying to get tropico 3 to run on wine. My efforts so far have managed me to get to a point where I can get the main menu to work, but as soon as I load up a map, it dies: Code: john at panther:~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/Kalypso/Tropico 3$ wine Tropico3.exe fixme:win:EnumDisplayDevicesW ((null),0,0x32f18c,0x00000000), stub! fixme:imagehlp:ImageLoad (C:\Program
