Well, 1.0.1 is due "soon". It's mostly waiting on an updated Win32 SDK, if I
understand things correctly.
1.1 is not anytime soon, and is the "AAC-killer" version, I think.

a long hard road
OK one factor that I had not mentioned previously is this is my first
time running Debian (yes I managed to do that since 1997...). Yesterday
I found /etc/network/interfaces and understood what it does!
My system is like the "About My Network" example except that I have 2

For a sensible men, every day is a new beginning, of course you can plan their ideal and future, can even around the world looking for better opportunities, but don't forget, we must first for "today's milk effort", in every "today" persistent and dependably every step perfectly well, demonstrated in your eyes will be spring brightness.

Some more hardware and E1 questions
Hi again folks! ;)
As before, I will transform one E1 30 Channel PRI into 30 FXS channels using Adit 600.
Now I'm into choosing server platform. And the two opponents are:
* Dell PowerEdge 750 w/ SCSI RAID (or even SATA RAID1)
* FujistuSiemens PRIMERGY RX100 S2 (SATA RAID1)
As I've seen people having problem with HP server, I havn't looked at it at all.
What experience do you

Civ 4 time victory in 2 minutes
Initially the bottom half of the screen was cut off for civilization 4 and It seems to have corrected itself now, for unknown reasons.
Now it keeps giving the computer opponents time victories within a few minutes. Why is it doing that? And how do i correct it?

Projection Pursuit Index
Dear R-developers,
I am trying to experiment with projection pursuit (PP), and different
indexes for the same, especially using the tourr package. However, I've
noticed that a PP index in the said package is only a function of the
projected data. Could I modify the function so that the index sees the
projection bases instead (or in addition to the data) ?
Alternatively, if some other package

Projection Pursuit
Hello,
Just a quick question about ppr in library modreg.
I have looked at Ripley and Venables 2002 and it says that projection
pursuit works "by projecting X in M carefully chosen directions"
I want to know how it choses the directions? I presume it moves around the
high-dimensional space of unit vectors finding ones that separate the
response variables, but how.
I looked at the

Ryacas
I'm tinkering around in Ryacas trying to find an easy way to get the
first and second partial derivatives of mu and sigma from a normal
distribution (actually a bitterly ugly likelihood but this example works
for now).
I've done all of the work in Mathematica, but I then need to manually
write R code whereas I think Ryacas will give me the expression such
that I can export for Tex and

SuSE 7.2 & Outlook
Hi,
Our corporate policy kinda forces us to use MS
Exchange and Outlook 98. Wheras we develope embedded
products using Linux and our development team use SuSE
7.2. It seemed the best way around this conundrum was
wine and Outlook (for which we have many licences).
However on installing wine on a dual boot SuSE 7.2 /
WinNT workstation although i can get notebook running
well Outlook complains
