Need a help to plot bar for time series Rain data
Hey Guys, I am quite new to R, am trying to plot a bar plot for my monthly rainfall data from 1920 to 1990. For every year I have the data from January to December. I have created this code: data<-read.table("C://R//Data//Rain.txt", header=TRUE) data<-data[,2:13] Rdata<-data[1,] for(i in 2:79){Rdata<-c(Rdata,data[i,])} times<-ts(Rdata,start=1920,frequency=12)

repeated measures - aov, lme, lmer - help
Dear all, I'm not very sure on the use of repeated measures in R, so some advice would be very appreciate. Here is a simple example similar to my real problem (R 2.6.0 for windows): Lets supose I have annual tree production measured in 9 trees during 3 years; the 9 trees are located in 3 different mountains (sites), and each tree receive different annual rainfall (different locations). I would

choosing an appropriate linear model
I am trying to model the observed leaching of wood preservative chemicals from treated wood during an outdoor experiment where leaching is caused by rainfall events. For each rainfall event, the amount of rainfall was recorded as well as the amount of preservative chemical leached. A number of climatic variables were measured, but the most important is the amount of rainfall. I have tried a

Any mountain clustering method in R?
Dear all, I wonder which R algorithm could perform a mountain clustering in an spatial grid, in other words, having the coordinates of a map (x,y ... or even more) and then the altitude/height at each point I would like to localise the peaks of that topological surface. Which R algorithm can perform this? I see it as a clustering problem where the peak should be at the center of each cluster.

adjusting color palette
Is there a way to increase the "sensitivity" of the color palette in order to more clearly represent certain sections of data? For example I am wanting to clearly differentiate between height data for a rolling landscape but because of the extremes of the dataset (sea and mountain tops), the bulk of the landscape is shaded in closely approximating green - i have attempted to do this by

hi, I received this e-mail which contains a "ballad", at first I thought it was junk mail, but then I read through it, for the EE members of this list, it may be quite humorous. I don't know if the ballad is original, but at least it's the XMAS season, so it's something to lighten up your day, eh? -samudra """ How the Ground Loop Stole Christmas

Compare two 3d plots
Hi, I am still learning and find it very helpful in my research. I have searched before posting this and could not figure out if there is a way to compare matrices the way i am describing below: I have a matrix of 64 cols and 64 rows which mostly has lots of zeros but has other non-zero positive integers (usually grouped close to each other) in the matrix. I use persp to get a 3d plot and
