Wordq and Wine
Hi everybody,
i'm a IT technician in a high school and i'm planning to switch from windows XP to Linux (ubuntu or Opensuse) and one of the last step I need to do is to have Wordq (www.wordq.com) working in linux.
Of course there's no official linux support but i've tried in Wine 1.2.1 in Ubuntu 10.10 and the application is starting but i've this errors:

Installing NWN on MacOS 10.5
I have for a while been trying to install NWN on a MacOS hosted version of WINE.
I have installed WINE as suggested on the Wiki.
I have tried to install the game from the CD in several ways
When I run the installer, I get the installer window, it then goes quiet and generates a number of error messages. The most complete are in the terminal session I invoked Wine from.

FSX install... Failure
Hey guys I desperately want to install FSX, please don't post anything referring me to another sim, I already have it on another comp and I want to link them, I decided to use linux(Ubuntu 10.1) on this machine(programming reasons) so using wine that I installed three days ago, should have Wine triks, I attempted to install FSX but I got err. 1603.
Help please?

InstallShield Setup.exe hang
Hi
InstallShield(setup.exe) seems to be hang up just after extracting
files with fresh maked & installed wine 0.9.5 from source on fedora
core 4. Could you tell me work around or hint ?
I have to put the ole32.dll from MS WinXP original
into drive_c/windows/system32 ?

Excel export from within another app
Hi,
I'm running Wine 1.4 on Ubuntu 11.10.
Necessary for my office job I installed the Microsoft Office pack 2010.
It's running fine (word, excel...).
I also installed another windows app necessary to follow my job activity.

Paratext Installation Problem
Hello,
I'm trying to install the Paratext program on Linux. It's only
available to some people, so you can't try it yourself, but it's
running into a problem with the MSI. It runs the GUI, and gets most of
the way through before saying that the wizard was interrupted before
the installation could be completed. It's using the InstallShield

Re: Incredimail....Need help/ideas to get it running
I get a bit different messages. When I run IncMail.exe or ImApp.exe I get a window, visible on the screenshot (http://omploader.org/vMThjMg), that says:
"Error: failed to create Message Store."
To get to this point I used winetricks to install ie6, flash, msvc2005 and wininet.

IL2 Sturmovik 1946 install failure - Ubuntu 9.04 (64) 1.1.23
Second try with wine. Currently not having success installing anything (GW, Medieval2, or IL-2). Focusing on IL-2 because it's still listed as Gold, and the other apps seem known not to work with ver 1.1.23...

program thinks another instance is open
I'm trying to work on getting the english version of qq (not the 2009 version that won't even install) and it installs alright, but on the applications start it says that the "max number of instances are already open." The terminal output states:

Errors on running setup - x64 FC6

For what its worth, I was running setup for a game (Railroad Tycoon
III), on Fedora Core 6 - x64. The 'setup' finished, but, with some
errors -

Myst IV Installer breakage

The game "Myst IV - Revelation" by Cyan Worlds / Ubisoft installed fine
in earlier versions of wine (although it was and is not playable).
Recently I tried again, and the setup crashed just before the copying of
files would start.
I was able to isolate the patch that caused the regression (with git

Error with Ultima Online Installation

I have been trying to install Ultima Online: Mondain's Legacy.
Unfortunatelly it hangs with Install Shield. The problem I am having is

IDriver crash on install
Hello all,
I use Silkypix Pro on Wine (a licensed RAW file converter). It worked fine in the last few versions but the current one won't install:
I get a popup "The program IDriver.exe has encountered a serious problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience" the "InstallShield 1628: Failed to complete installation". A more complete log is below.

JDF library in wine?
Hello all,
I wonder if there is a way to set up the so-called JDF library
required by several Adobe software? I haven't been able to find out
what it is, nor whether wine has any way to set this up, or even if I
can copy windows DLL's over.
I can get Adobe Acrobat 7.0 to run, for example, but many actions fail
with the error "cannot initialize JDF library".
Any enlightenment
