Running Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 correctly in Wine
Hey, I have a copy of Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 premium, and I am running a computer with Ubuntu 10.10 64-bit. I want to put Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 on the machine, but I tried before using Wine on Kubuntu, and no success: The sound files would not play and the sound effects wouldn't play. Is there a simple way I can fix this problem without me having to go get a copy of Windows

I get an error message
Everytime I try to open up a game called Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 I have copied the program files to a thumb drive, I get a popup text box that says the following:

Hello,
I have just installed Rollercoaster Tycoon 3, but failed to run it with wine-1.1.7
I got the following message:

Problem with Securom when starting Rollercoaster Tycoon 3

I've just installed Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 Deluxe (I think it's called 'Platinum' in the US, the version with both addons) on my Kubuntu 8.04 partition with Wine 0.9.59. The installation works fine, but when I try to start the game, the following error message appears:

Can't install Rollercoaster Tycoon 3
Hello,
if I will install Rollercoaster Tycoon 3, first I see the Message "Internal Failure - Error Number 0x80040707" (I don't know for it is from RCT3 or from wine), but I'm able to proceed with click on ok.
But if I'm in the page to set the path and see the discspace and click on next, I ever get this page. But I don't see any error-message and it is enough discspace.

No keyboard input when running RollerCoaster Tycoon 3
Be forewarned, I am new to Linux. I am using Ubuntu 9.10 (Karmic Koala). I have installed wine (1.1.38) and I am able to run RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 both with and without a virtual desktop. It runs with no problems except for the fact that it does not receive keyboard commands! I have looked all over the Internet and still have yet to find a solution. Someone help, please!

problem when runing RCT3 demo from console
Hi, I'm trying to run Roller Coaster Tycooon 3 demo with wine 1.1.28. It installed fine, and when I run it using gnome applications menu shortcut, game menu is working and it crash when loading new map. But that isn't my problem. Freeze-up on end-user license aggreement?
I'm trying to install Rollercoaster Tycoon 3, but when I select 'I accept the terms of the license agreement' and click 'Next', it appears to freeze up. Here's the terminal output:

I've been playing with wine for the past 2 days - recently upgraded to the latest stable release (1.2.2) and I'm not able to run RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 on Mac OSX 10.6.6. I have a digital copy that installs great, but when I go to run the game, I get an error (and only 1 error):

Error Encountered When Running Roller Coaster Tycoon 2
I have recently been trying to install RCT2 on my Mac (OSX 10.5). I have attempted both Wine (1.3.9) and CrossOver, both of which hit the same error when I attempt to run the game:
"The program rct2.exe has encountered a serious problem and needs to close."

Transport Tycoon Deluxe for Windows installation failure / Wine-20050930
Hi!
I wanted to install Transport Tycoon Deluxe for Windows
but the installation does not even start.
I have wine-20050930-1fc3winehq.i686 on my system, FC3/x86-64.
The installation directory seems strange on the very first window,
every backslash character is painted as a strike-through upcase
letter W.
Browsing for another directory or typing the directory manually
gives the same problem.

Regression From Platinum
Theme hospital used to work flawlessly however the cursor now has serious issues. Unfortunately I haven't played the game for a while so cannot pinpoint which version of wine has caused this regression (according to the test results it was first noticed in 1.1.12).

WINE does not recognize mounted ISO
I'm a new user of WINE (and Ubuntu). I have mounted an ISO and have configured WINE to see it as the D: drive; however, when I attempt to access the disc (game- RollerCoaster Tycoon 2) it tells me that there is no disc in the drive. I can get it to run by placing the disc in the drive, though. I even changed the image to the drive letter that the physical CD-Rom was (I:) and that still

Apps segfaulting, problem with X?
Hello,
I'm having big trouble getting wine to work.
What I basically want to do is get steam to work, now it even fails to launch at all. It updates to 99% and then it segfaults. Other games has done this too (rollercoaster tycoon 2, starcraft 2). I followed the instructions on winehq, removed oriya/samyak fonts and I don't think I've done anything wrong - I've installed steam

Roller Coaster Tycoon, Suse 10.1, installer silently dies
I have a fresh install of Suse 10.1 and wine 9.21 and tried to install
roller coaster tycoon for some fun. However the installer quickly dies
silently. I've tried using different versions of wine with no succes.
The frustrating thing is that on different versions of Suse this
installed beautifully.
I've tried using winetools to set up my ~.wine, but still $wine
setup.exe gives me
