similar to: Carrara 8 pro cmx (?) and Wine

Hello! I faced a very strange issue with wine. So I am trying to launch my beloved app that works under wine 99% good, but after upgrading to Ubuntu 11.10 I get this problem (extraction from terminal): wine: Bad EXE format for H:\Desktop\Carrara 8.1 I get the same problem if I go to the 'hidden' wine folder and go to c drive and launch it from there. any advice on this? I'm new to Linux and Wine. I installed Ubuntu 10.4 on a logical partition and tried accessing some of my Windows 3D modelling/machinima programmes in Wine. Daz Studio and Bryce 7 installed perfectly but then didn't run. Moviestorm looks like it would run but needs to connect to the website each time to log in and cannot connect in Wine. I've got Samba 2.2.2 and winbind up and running fine between a TurboLinux server and an NT 4.0 PDC. I can "chown" files on the linux box fine using "$chown DOMAIN+username filename" but when i try to change an objects group using "$chgrp DOMAIN+groupname filename" i get errors stating that it is an invalid group name. Hi, I've just installed asterisk 1.2.1 on my openwrt distro ( I own a WRT54GL by Linksys ) . No problem by now, but I can see that my 3 snom 320, once they started they send subscriptions to asterisk, and I can see that running: sip show subscriptions But, after one hour about, OR when I do asterisk reload , asterisk losts all th snom subscriptions. Someone can help me please? Thanks

Has anyone had any luck with Bryce 6.0? I can fully install it as well as the extras that come with it but it will not run. I have played around with settings in winecfg but nothing. I am running Wine 1.0.0 under Mepis Linux 7 (Debian Etch base) Any takers?

Hello! Sorry to burden you but I somehow made one application to run via wine, but now there is a trouble with shortkeys. It is a general purpose 3D and when performing a special dynamic extrusion task which requires ctrl + H keys makes wine window to minimize into the panel. Hello! I couldn't find information on how to. Is there a way to configure wine to use full potential of hardware? For example, i run an application which on windows use all that the hardware can offer meaning 100% CPU 3igs of RAM with the Ram Switch.
