Re: Carrara 6 on WINE 0.9.59, Ubuntu Hardy 8.04, Gnome 2.22.1...
Hi VitalBodies, I have just made the switch to Ubuntu myself, Whilst I understand I may never get Carrara to work, I have successfully installed Corel Bryce 5, Hexagon and Daz Studio 3 advanced under wine 1.2. The Wine App Database says that folks have got Eovia Carrara 5 to work with no problem but after installing this version along with the C++ runtime's, Carrara 5 under Wine will not let

Re: Carrara 6 on WINE 0.9.59, Ubuntu Hardy 8.04, Gnome 2.22.1...
I'm new to Linux and Wine. I installed Ubuntu 10.4 on a logical partition and tried accessing some of my Windows 3D modelling/machinima programmes in Wine. Daz Studio and Bryce 7 installed perfectly but then didn't run. Moviestorm looks like it would run but needs to connect to the website each time to log in and cannot connect in Wine. Carrara 7.2 not only installed but also runs! So

Configure wine to use full potential of hardware?
Hello! I couldn't find information on how to. Is there a way to configure wine to use full potential of hardware? For example, i run an application which on windows use all that the hardware can offer meaning 100% CPU 3igs of RAM with the Ram Switch. I was wondering if Wine could be configured to let the application use more of the hardware, now I see that my app is using only about 250 MB

Re: Is Wine64 usable yet?
Hmm.. is this "update.exe" problem same which is happening with ie7 in32-bit (needs some cat file copied somewhere to run)? With wow64 build I have been testing to install SolidWorks 2009-2011 x64 and most of the times installer tries by default install the app to "Program Files (x86)"-folder, sometimes it gets correct program files folder, usually not. Installer fails on

Wintab32 - Tablet support - VBtablet & wintab working for Dogwaffle?
I too would be very interested in knowing what's happening with wintab32 under wine - is it usable? How about in conjunction with VBtablet from www.greenreaper.co.uk ? He has a small test program there which reports pressure, angle etc.... you might want to see if that works. Does somebody on this list have a Wacom, AceCad, Pablo (Disney Magic Artist) or Aiptek tablet to try Dogwaffle with
