Locally "installed" Dll's
Some small utilities that I sometimes run are often distributed as a .ZIP file containing the application and any DLL's that it depends on. Windows has a behavior where if a DLL is located in the same directory as an application, windows preferentially chooses the DLL's in that directory over the same DLL that appears in C:\Windows\system32 Wine doesn't seem to behave this way (at

REQ: Parent Id
Thanks for the snippet, albeit id still like to see it added :) > PID files are quite useless junk on the harddisk in most cases... IMO > they make only sense if you have to run a program in the foreground and > send signals like SIGUSR1 to it (those that don't have hotkeys like > CTRL+C). Besides, they come with their own set of potential problems. > Anyways - Icecast2 is very

serialize changes for 2.4.0
I noticed today that in R 2.3.1, I get > serialize(list(1,2,3), NULL, ascii = TRUE) [1] "A\n2\n131841\n131840\n19\n3\n14\n1\n1\n14\n1\n2\n14\n1\n3\n" > but in R 2.4.0 alpha I get > serialize(list(1,2,3), NULL, ascii = TRUE) [1] 41 0a 32 0a 31 33 32 30 39 36 0a 31 33 31 38 34 30 0a 31 39 0a 33 0a 31 34 [26] 0a 31 0a 31 0a 31 34 0a 31 0a 32 0a 31 34 0a 31 0a 33 0a >

Hotkey between Xorg and Wine applications
Hello! I'm trying to install a Windows application called Macro Express, wich automatizes a lot of process with recorded macros. The macros are called by pressing Hotkeys combinations like Control+1 or Control+2 etc. Then, the macro sends keys to applications. I have installed the program on kubuntu and Wine 0.9.30. The problems are that it only regonizes Hotkeys when Macro Express window is

Wine sometime really surprise me
Software as Application, can always find a replacement. (Well most of the time) But Software as Games, there is good chance that you will never find a replacement. They are their own unique Art. (Classical games is another story, such as chess, and those "public domain") In order words, doesn't matter how old a game might be. it will not get obsolesce. When it come to

noise in time series
Hi! I have two time series. Both measure the same thing and I would like to determine which one is noisier. Would it be a good measure of the noise in each time series the absolute lag difference? Is this a good measure? Any other measure I could use? Thanks for help :) David Riano Center for Spatial Technologies and Remote Sensing (CSTARS) University of California 250-N, The Barn One Shields

Tinn-R looses connection to R (Windows Vista)
Hi everyone, I wonder, if anyone can help me with this annoying issue, although it is related to Tinn-R and Windows Vista... I am running R 2.11.1 and Tinn-R 2.3.5.2 together. I saved 2 R-hotkeys: ALT+A for sending the whole content of one file and ALT+S for a selection from one file from Tinn-R to R. Everything works fine with other windows versions, also with Vista at the beginning of every

Hotkeys for menu items
Hi! I know, that a menupoint can have a hotkey, you just have to separate the menu description and the hotkey with a tab. But can you have more hotkeys? thx Gergo -- +-[ Kontra, Gergely<kgergely@mcl.hu> PhD student Room IB113 ]---------+ | http://www.mcl.hu/~kgergely "Olyan langesz vagyok, hogy | | Mobil:(+36 20) 356 9656 ICQ: 175564914 poroltoval kellene jarnom" |

Logitech G11 keyboard and wine
Hi, I've been reading this list for a while, and now I've got an issue of my own. A week or two ago, I got myself a logitech G11 keyboard, mainly for the extra buttons. It's working fine on windows, and in linux with g15daemon, but I'm having trouble getting the extra keys (G1-G18) it to work in wine. I've searched around on the internet, but most I managed to find is

File manager or browser for IMAP?
Hi all, I could really use a file manager or browser to browse my Dovecot IMAP. Ideally it would have hotkeys to move, copy, delete and send. The send part needn't be coded: Just a call to a shellscript which can handle the send the way it's locally the most convenient. Anyone know of such a file manager or browser for IMAP? Fix: hotkey uppercasing too wide
Hello, Stumble upon this issue. If one define digits as hotkeys, the action is also taken for the non-reserved CTRL-P to CTRL-Y (also affect ASCII prior to digits). Here's a quick patch, quickly tested for action on uppercase/lowercase and digit and inaction on "matching" CTRL key. Regards, Dany *Sample config section* LABEL extra2 MENU LABEL ^2. RE: Noise on ZAP channel
I have a couple SIP phones on a PIII 1Ghz 256MB * server with a TDM01B connected to the PSTN. Calls between SIP phones are clear. Calls to the PSTN are quite noisy. The other person does not hear noise but I hear quite a bit. It is not an annoying sound but definitely much noisier than typical PSTN or even cell phone calls. I believe I have a TDM400P REV H card. I definitely don't

re-getting keyboard focus
When you loose keyboard focus in a game (say, Diablo 2) in wine, I haven't found a way to re-get it. The mouse works fine but the keyboard does not work once you loose the focus (for example by clicking outside the ddraw area). Any solutions ? Also, is there a way to "ALT+TAB" out of wine ? Because I was thinking maybe DXGrab = Y could help this, but it is too dangerous to enable

Age of Conan, Wine 1.3.23, Mac OS 10.6.7 ?
Age of Conan went free-to-play (sort of) recently, and I thought I'd give it a look. The AppDB entry and a search of bugs seems to indicate that it should mostly work except for some texture problems, but I can't seem to get past the installation. Configuration: * Mac OS X 10.6.7 * Wine 1.3.23 * Age of Conan web installer Process: * Created fresh WINEPREFIX by: "wine notepad"

10-pre19 ok on pxelinux, w menu32
ok on a soekris 4801. Now that youre in late pre-release, pls consider these doc-patches, 1st sent in May. which are (I assume) still true, if not directly desirable. (reword as you see fit, or reject outrite) They apply -p0 other trivialities: early part of pxelinux paints approx 16 chars wide across serial to my terminal (picocom) and often doesnt scroll, (does so rarely, dont recall

SIP/IAX softphones for use in call centre environments
I've been working my way through the softphones listed on voip-info over the last few weeks and I've not really found anything to fit the bill. Has anyone had more luck? The environment is a small call centre of 5 users. Operators often need to be able to transfer calls to other operators with different specialties, so the softphone needs to be easy to use and quick to transfer calls.
