Xfire native solution: Gfire
Hello, a long time ago I looked in the appdb about Xfire. It's just generally seen poor support in WINE, and doesn't seem to work that much. Then one of my friends told me about gfire, the xfire plugin for pidgin: http://gfireproject.org/ I just tried this out and it totally works. I don't know the ins and outs of this place, but can you edit/change the xfire page to mention a

compiling Wine with GCC
Hey, A question of a Tux/Wine Newbie. There's a how-to using Xfire with wine in the appdb, I shall compile it from source using GCC-4.5. But I only know how to compile a single file with it or using the standard 'make' command, how it's shown in the Wine-Wiki. I googled for a tutorial, but didn't found anything. Can anyone help me with it giving a small help? In thanks, CF

DLL Injection -> segfaults on wine
Hi, I've started today programming with a windows library which I especially want to use in Wine. This library replaces one that is for windows native program and I'm trying to create a similar library that communicates with a native linux replacement of the program for windows. This library needs to be injected into some special processes like the windows one did (it's an SDK,

New video card; wine freezing
Hello, I want to play Eve Online in Wine. It was working (mostly) on my old card, a GTX 280, using the nvidia driver. It was the 3rd card I've had from Nvidia in a row with manufacturing defects, so I bought a Radeon 6870, which is working good except with Wine. I am using fglrx, and have a dual head setup using xrandr. When I log in, I get to the screen where it is entering the game after I

Gnome wine menu entry gone
Well for a long time now my wine menu entry in gnome has been gone. Most threads I read all say to fine the <deleted> tag in .config/menus/applications.menu but mine doesn't have it.

1.3.15, mouse screwy now on OSX.
not sure if its just me or anyone else noticed this... but mouse control in games is basically impossible now in 1.3.15. like holding down the right mouse button and moving the mouse to move a character direction just barely moves or jumps, or just stops moving, or then spins around... its horrid. 1.3.14 and earlier are still working fine without that problem. Is anyone else seeing this? is it

About Shorewall 1.3.14
It is my plan that the upcoming release of Shorewall (1.3.14) will definitely be the last of the 1.3.x releases and will very probably be the last release of Shorewall 1.x.x. I will continue to support Shorewall 1.3 but will be making no more enhancements to it. I will be devoting my time to Shorewall 2. If anyone is interested in taking over the development of Shorewall 1, please let me

vertical menus
Hello all, Not a directly related question to scriptaculous or prototype, but I am looking for a good, dynamic vertical javascript menu. I''ve done some searching and there are a lot of menu implementations out there. I''m looking for something more or less free, but will pay/donate a small fee towards something worth while. I figured I''d ask here to help filter down

A couple of enhacements suggestions
... are they possible?, or better yet: Are they enhacements at all? First, make it possible to use the vars defined in the params file usable in the policy and shorewall.conf also. Second, make it possible to specify a pseudo log level like NULL, SWNULL (SW by Shorewall) or an appropiate name that would have the same effect as not specifying a log level at all. These modifications together

[PATCH] daemon: build also without Hivex.OPEN_UNSAFE (RHBZ#1493048)
Do a configure check for the OPEN_UNSAFE flag in the OCaml binding of Hivex, using it only when available. This makes it possible to use hivex < 1.3.14 to build libguestfs (the daemon, actually). Amend the building documentation accordingly. --- .gitignore | 1 + configure.ac | 1 + daemon/Makefile.am | 2 ++ daemon/config_daemon.ml.in | 20

WINE 1.3.14 and mouse
I was wondering about those mouse issues... > Having other weird mouse issues? Try downgrading to wine 1.3.14. 1.3.15 and up introduced a complete overhaul of certain mouse handling code and screwed up more than a few things. I'm using a touchpad on a laptop with WINE 1.3.31 Some but not all games have an "escaping mouse" phenomenon. What happens is that the cursor has

Lightty idle-timeout - does it work?
Rails 1.0 on RedHat with MySQL It seems that my app stops functioning overnight [actually I am assuming that it is after a period of inactivity]. Googling around for solutions, it seems that it might be an issue with timeouts on the MySQL session. A suggestion I found was to a) increase timeout on MySQL [don''t want to do that]; b) add idle-timeout parameter to Lightty. So I
