HI all, I have Wine 1.3.26 installed on my Linux Mint 11 system, and have installed Steam. Steam runs, but it runs incredibly slowly, and causes the rest of the computer to also run very slowly. The odd thing is that the games I have (Portal and Half-Life 2) seem to run fine once they get going. Hi, I see two statistics on the admin web page. On my system "listeners" is usually 0. Sometimes I will actually catch it at 1 or 2, but it is 0 99% of the time. On the other hand "listener_connections" is always going up. If I refresh the screen it goes up by a few. If I wait an hour and refresh it goes up by tens. Over a few days it goes up by hundreds. Whenever I change the sound driver from ALSA to OSS in winecfg all of my steam games are muted. Some of the games doesn't even start, some of them start but are totally silent with OSS.
