wow.exe Wont Run in Wine 1.2.1
Many months ago, my machine ran WoW 3.x flawlessly. Now however, with Linux, it wont run at all. I am using Wine 1.2.1 and WoW 4.0.1 installed fine with the downloader, and the launcher runs without a hitch (although the "play" button won't appear once in a while). But once the Launcher program attempts to run the wow.exe, I get nothing. No game, no error message.

Error msg on shell trying to open WoW (Newb)
Hey everyone, I'll start off by saying I've never successfully made the transition to linux after trying 6 times. Something like this always happens, and I end up giving up and going back to windows; this time, however, I'm determined to win . [Laughing]
I've already posted on the ubuntu forums about this issue, and they referred me here. I'll quote the issue so far.

World of Warcraft Problem
My problem started when i upgraded my Video Card from an Nvidia geforce 9500gt to a geforce 210. With the 9500gt i could run all day long with the texture resolution on High and no problems. With the Geforce 210 with Texture Resolution set on anything but low on certain camera angles I will lose the NPC's but turn the camera angle they will come back and move again they will disappear again.

World of Warcraft - ERROR #132 (0x85100084) Fatal Exception
I installed WoW in Windows, and now I am trying to run it using Wine from the windows install: /media/HP_PAVILION/Program Files/World of Warcraft
I am using Fedora Core 9, x86_64. The launcher.exe works fine. But as soon as I hit play, I get a critical error. Here is the log of it:

Greeting folks --

2) No, I have never successfully gotten wow running in opengl on the lenovo (ibm) t400
I'm just trying to get it running:
Lenovo is running FC13, with much stuff from updates-testing - the Lenovo is using the Intel GM945 chipset for video.
I can get the game running in d3d

WoW Launcher.exe crashs
Hi,
I've got no problem playing World of Warcraft via the Wow.exe file, but Launcher.exe was always a little buggy, crashing from time to time.
Problem is that today there's a new, small, patch, and Launcher.exe keeps crashing (the Launcher window shows up, then freeze), so i can't update and therefore, can't play.
I use Archlinux (64bit) and wine 1.3.19.

Ubuntu Hardy + Wine + WoW = corrupted graphics
Hello all,
I've got a laptop w/ an "Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS, 943/940GML"
graphics card (I know, Intel sucks) running Ubuntu Hardy and Wine
0.9.61~winehq0~ubuntu~8.04-1.
I've had problems getting World of Warcraft to run under wine before, so
when I upgraded to Hardy I thought I would try it again. At least in
the past I could run WoW using the built-in d3d

World of Warcraft launcher application.
Hello Community,
I have WoW running no problem in win on ubuntu 11.1. the game runs great but the launcher is unable to update I'm actually surprised it can get online to show me the news for WoW. I wonder if it has anything to do with how I am running it. Since I do not have the disks or anything like that to install from I tried to use the blizzard DLer but it has the same problem that the

Questions when running WOW and other games in frames.
I have a numbers of questions. I know about half of them are probably program related (World of Warcraft) but I figured I'd group them together for the most part.
First the states. I'm using a Dell Inspiron Laptop (their Ubuntu line). I reinstalled Linux myself (had to redo the partitions) and dual boot Ubuntu and Windows 7, Wow does work under Windows 7, but what's the fun in

I've tried various things to make it work, but it just doesn't seem to.
Now, I did install from LiveCD, will install full fc11 tomorrow and try again,
but currently this is what happens (have nvidia driver latest), would love
to see if anyone else has had this and found the fix:

Wine 1.2rc5 World of Warcraft crash
Hello all,
My wife and I just recently went 100% Linux, meaning that we no longer dual boot to Windows for our regular gaming addiction.
One of the games we both enjoy is World of Warcraft, and it has so far worked a charm using Wine 1.2rc5 (we started using Wine at 1.2rc3), but today the game was patched, and now it crashes on login.
Some data:
Wine 1.2rc5

Wow.exe segfault xubuntu hardy on Wine 0.9.61
Hello all
Getting a segfault when I try to start wow.exe
Code:
dmk at hermes:~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/World of Warcraft$ wine Wow.exe -opengl
Segmentation fault
dmk at hermes:~$ wine --version
wine-0.9.61
This is a fresh install of xubuntu and wine, i'm not all that ubuntu savvy, so i could be missing some obvious stuff.
