problem installing utorrent on 64bit linux
hey all Here is what I get when I try to install utorrent on 64 bit arch linux, kernel version 2.6.33.4-1. I've never used wine before and I'm rather new to linux so I don't really know what to make of it. Code: [steini at myhost downloads]$ wine utorrent.exe wine: created the configuration directory '/home/steini/.wine' err:module:load_builtin_dll failed to load .so lib for

Depressed amd64 user...
Hi, I recently built my new graphics workstation with the express idea of using Linux, Wine, and an AutoCAD clone called IntelliCAD. http://intellicadms.com/ Running Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty) on my old Intel system with Wine works just fine. IntelliCAD functions beautifully. However, when I installed the above on my all-new AMD Phenom II X4 955 system, IntelliCAD simply does not launch. I use: -

Linux 4.2p1 crash during reverse name lookup
4.0p1 and 4.2p1 are affected for me, I'm using Linux based around a FC2 build (~2 years old). I'm trying to login with password authentication from psftp.exe (part of PuTTY) but it. Maybe this bug isn't with OpenSSH itself but a supporting library, I would appreciate your assistance in tracking down the problem. I have tried getting a 'core' file out of SSH with

Compiling on AMD64 with a cross-compiler
Hello. I'm still trying to get the latest (post 0.9.60) wine releases to build on my laptop; it is a SlAMD64 installation. I used to compile ok up to 0.9.60; then from 0.9.61 on it refused to compile. I tried lately to compile this way: CFLAGS="-I/test/alsa/lib32/include" \ LDFLAGS="-L/usr/lib -Wl,-rpath-link,/usr/lib -L/test/alsa/lib32/lib

wine on Debian sid
Greetings. I recently upgraded & dist-upgraded much to my consternation and was rewarded with a non-functioning Wine installation. Now, I'm a Debian Freak since last millennium, so no need to put replies in an Ubuntu or newbie way, or go to great lengths explaining how things work. No dis-respect intended. I use Wine to run Noteworthy Composer, on which I rely allot. I'm sure you

OpenSSH 4.0p1 segfaults on keyboard-interactive login
Hi folks, I've compiled the new OpenSSH 4.0p1 on my Linux box running Fedora Core 2 (kernel 2.6.10) the same way as I did with 3.9p1 and all previous versions. Key-based login works fine, but if I login from a host that require me to enter my login password (keyboard-interactive), then the sshd child process segfaults. Don't know if this is specific to my system or to Linux in general.

Compiling wine on AMD64
I've been trying various ways of getting wine running on my 64 bit ubuntu machine. So far I haven't been very successful. I am using the guide here: http://wiki.winehq.org/WineOn64bit with help from here:

Increased memory usage between 4.8 and 5.5
I'm running into a memory problem when trying to switch some web servers that are running centos4.8/x86_64 to centos5.5/x86_64. The new servers running centos5.5 are using a decent amount more memory than the centos4.8 servers. Here's an example from top: --- centos 5.5 --- $ uname -a Linux ws51 2.6.18-194.17.1.el5 #1 SMP Wed Sep 29 12:50:31 EDT 2010 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

[LLVMdev] clang searching for many linux directories that do not exist on FreeBSD host
Greetings - I'm a user of clang (3.3), as it is the system compiler for my installation of FreeBSD. (In FreeBSD 10, it will be the default compiler, but that's not my point.) My system identifies itself as: FreeBSD 9.2-PRERELEASE #0: Tue Jul 16 13:00:08 EDT 2013 lidl at nine0:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC Recently, in preparation for the upcoming 9.2 release, they imported the llvm

How do I do core dumps and backtraces?
I've been testing out Red Orchestra on Wine, and when I run it, it tells me that wineserver crashed and to run ulimit -c unlimited and try again. So I did that, and tried, that time it didn't tell me wineserver crashed, but it did. I run wine again, and it says wineserver crashed last time, and to run this command: gdb /usr/bin/../lib32/../bin/wineserver
