Vegas Video 4.0 menus
Hi. I'm trying to get a program called Sony Vegas Video 4.0 working in Wine. I'm not the first one to try this: http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.comp.emulators.wine.user/8815 Last time, the person got the program running but ran into two problems: the video preview didn't work and the menus disappeared after one use. I believe I have fixed the first problem. The solution to this is to

New Vegas Script Extender: Works if I only click on it?
I'm On Ubuntu 11.04 This is for fallout New vegas. I made a new prefix and installed steam, fallout new vegas, Fallout mod manager, and the New vegas script extender. I got everything working, however, when I try to use NVSE through FOMM, or through a regular launcher spits out the error: can not inject dll, but when I click on it directly it works as intended... Even bringing up steam and

Re: Anyone able to install Sony Vegas HD Platinum in a linux os?
I also tried Shipp's advice and it is not working for me as well, and there is an error message being displayed. Any luck figuring this out? Thanks. m_al_com wrote: > Just tried Shipp's method, and I still get "Configuration xml file is possibly currupt" (sp) when I try to open the setup file. Re: Anyone able to install Sony Vegas HD Platinum in a linux os?
Given Sony Vegas 10, Platinum HD, is very similar to vegas 9.0., it is possible. With some winetricks surely.

Problem with Sony Vegas Pro 9.0 and Wine
Hi, I'm new here, I'm trying to port Sony Vegas Pro 9.0 under Wine on Linux. I've already tried it successfully with version 8.0 and some winetricks: http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=16608 Now I'm going to do the same with version 9.0 but I have a problem and we ask your help. I successfully installed Sony Vegas Pro 9.0 under Wine 1.2-rc5 with the

Fallout New Vegas - Antialiasing
Hello, I'm running Fallout New Vegas in Wine with (a lot of) help from Playonlinux. I have to say it is running very well and I'm have very few critical failures like I was having with the game in Windoze; many quirks, but few critical failures. Which is awesome. I'm wondering though, if anyone else who's got FONV working has found a way to initiate anti-aliasing in the game. For

Re: fallout new vegas wineskin mac osx 10.6.5
I'm new to all of this, never played a windows game on mac before, but I thought I might get some help here. Sorry if I'm posting in the wrong thread or anything like this. I copied fallout new vegas from a friend who I'm pretty sure downloaded it illegaly. Don't know if this is relevant, just want to be sure. First of all it won't start - I have the same problem as the

Adding support for .w64 (wave64) format
I use Sony (previously Sonic Foundry) Sound Forge, which allows me to save audio files in .w64 (Wave 64) format to get around the 2GB .wav file limitation. W64 was invented by Sonic Foundry, and is an open format as far as I know. The only programs I know about using the .w64 format at the moment are Sound Forge and Steinberg Nuendo, although there may be others out there. With increasing

I can start Rainbow 6 Vegas, but after a few minutes of playing it crashes. I have tried it with and without winetricks d3dx9. I am on a macbook pro (NVidia 9600GT, 4gb Ram, 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo). The OS is 10.6.4 (with the graphic update). I have tried both x11 and xquartz. Fallout: New Vegas?
Hey folks. I'm having trouble getting Fallout: New Vegas to work under Wine. (Civ 5 is working okay for me, for the record). I'm running on Ubuntu 10.10 x64, using the latest (1.3.5) from the ubuntu-wine launchpad.net repository. Launching steam works fine, and launching Fallout: NV gives me the splash screen. I can pick the setup option (and I set it to lowest detail/windowed, for

New Vegas + Wine
Ok, So I had wine 1.3.5 yesterday by doing this in terminal sudo apt-get install wine1.3 now, wine 1.3.6 was released, how do I upgrade or get it? I have tried completely removing wine, then going back and doing sudo apt-get install wine1.3 Is there a way to tell my wine version, because if I am at 1.3.6 New Vegas still says 'failed to enable gamebyro renderer' any help appreciated

Wine on Mac + Sony Vegas
Hello! I've never used Wine, and unfortunately I'm not at all familiar with running commands in Terminal (apart from strictly following instructions here and there from various sites), but I've had a lot of trouble trying to install Windows via Boot Camp on my Mac and I was hoping I could get Wine to work for an application. I've found that Sony Vegas 8 seems to have worked here:

Anyone able to install Sony Vegas HD Platinum in a linux os?
So, i tried this once before and it didn't work because wine thought it was windows xp and vegas platinum only works with windows 7. I am brand new to Wine and have no idea where to even start. I followed a documentation step by step, barely able to understand it. Using winetricks i got all the stuff supposedly needed to install, but it wouldn't even run the setup.exe file. I am not

Adding support for .w64 (wave64) format
Our DAW REAPER (www.reaper.fm) supports W64 as well. We'd be happy to share our W64 reading/writing implementations if someone wishes to integrate them into flac... -Justin Chris Cantwell wrote: > > I use Sony (previously Sonic Foundry) Sound Forge, which allows me to > save audio files in .w64 (Wave 64) format to get around the 2GB .wav > file limitation. Adding support for .w64 (wave64) format
I realize that it isn't much of an improvement, but AIFF supports 4GB recordings, and flac is compatible with this. Being an avid "taper" myself, I have, on many occasions recorded up to this limit, and I always back up my original recordings using flac. W64 support is more than welcome, but AIFF support gets you twice the length right away. Brian Willoughby Sound

Vegas Video 4 installer
Hi, I'm trying to install Vegas Video 4 (the installer is a single big .exe) but it fails right at the beginning with an "Unhandled exception". I'm under debian/sid, I tried both winehq.org's binaries and CVS with no luck. I'm pasting the log at the end of the mail. >From now on, I don't know what to do. I tried using native versions of various dlls, I tried
