swap
Hello everybody,
I wonder if there is any swap function in R that does the following:
x <- seq(1,10,12)
x1 <- swap(x)
x1
1 8 3 4 5 6 7 2 10
Thank you very much!

uidswap
All,
Could someone explain the purpose of the uidswap functions with
respect to ssh ( the client ). From what I gathered , ssh installs as
setuid root and swaps ids when reading potential key files that may be read
only by root. Also , I think when binding to a privileged port ssh swaps
id. Is that so? What are the consequnences if you do not install ssh setuid
root? ( As far I as know no uid

Swaping out phones.
I have a quick question. I am using Asterisk 1.4. I have a user that has changed phones (grandstream budge tone 200 to a polycom 330). I have changed the sip.conf and extensions.conf. I have also unplugged the old phone and plugged in the new phone. I get the ext showing on the phone, but when I do a sip show peer 5000 the old ip address and phone show up. I did a sip reload and a dialplan reload.

Supporting libunwind on Windows 10 (32bit; 64bit) for MSVC and Clang
Hello.
I was trying to compile
https://github.com/llvm/llvm-project/tree/master/libunwind using:
- MSVC
- Clang
I wasn't able to configure this project for using MSVC (directly or via
clang-cl):
>cmake -G Ninja -DLLVM_PATH="C:/Users/clang/llvm-project-10.0.1/llvm"
-DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Release
-DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX="C:\Users\clang\libunwind_llvm" ../libunwind

Find_all_by and find(:all) to only select certain values for a selection box
So....let''s have a look if I understood the issue:
-Find_all_by is actually the same like Find(:all), however Find_all_by
is much shorter and less complicated than the syntax of Find(:all)
-So in my CONTROLLER it says @files = find(:all) however I don''t want
to see all files displayed in my selection box, because I only want to
see the foles whose mandant_id is the same like

Wine and SQL Server
I work in an office with a proprietary Windows Only app that connects to SQL Server and a Network share. I can get the app to install, map my network drive using cifs and then winecfg, but I'm getting some sort of ActiveX error when it tries to connect to the SQL Server.
Has anyone done this sort of thing before?

Macbook DHCP issue.
Hi folks,
A while ago I setup my macbook pro to run TINC to my linux box. It's worked just swell since April. The other day it just stopped working. The connection comes up and everything seems fine but I can't DHCP a correct address.
I followed the old setup instructions that were located here: http://www.tinc-vpn.org/examples/macbook-install/ They seem to be gone now.

Script to convert mboxes to maildirs?
Does anybody know of a script of a simple method of
converting mbox mail stores to maildirs? I'm moving
from an old pop3 system to imap and after installing
about half our office with mboxes have found that mbox
does not support subfolders which some people like to
use.
Is there any simple way of converting? I can go to
each individual account and "manually" convert swaping
data

G.729? Worth it? -- YES --
im using g729, but the bw usage is ~26 kbps per call, my gateways (cisco)
support g723 and the bw between the gateways is ~18 kbps per call. Much
better than the ~62 kbps of the g711. if you plan to be a voip provider you
"must" go with compression codecs, especially if you want your customers to
browse the internet while having a call.
i.e. : We give voip phones (grandstream) to our

Rsync 2.4.6 and Hammerd CPU's
Hello -
I'm running Redhat 7.1 Rsync 2.4.6 and am having some problems with the
CPU's getting swammped. What we have is basically an 3 boxes, 1 machine (the
factory) is a where applications store the images that eventually are used
for the site, then the other 2 are the webservers that the have copy of the
images. The person who set the machines up used rsync to move any new images

astonishing memory phenomenon
I have a question concerning memory.
I understood that R takes a fixed amount of memory at startup (which I can
influence with --vsize --nsize) and that gc() shows the memory still free of
the total memory reserved for R.
However, if I create a long vector of character data, gc() only seem to
reflect the space needed for a vector of pointers to char, the space used
for the character data itself

Calls keep ringing after being picked up
Hi all, using * 1.2.9.1 and this week all of the sudden calls keep ringing
even after they've been picked up... Here's one users summary:
When I pick up the phone, I hear a dial tone and I am able to dial out.
But for some odd reason, the receiving line picks up while the outgoing line
is still ringing.
And the receiving line can hear everything while the phone is still ringing.

DIDs anywhere but here?
Are there affordable DIDs (preferably IAX) available anywhere outside
the US? I want to use it to meet ICANN requirements for providing a
valid phone number, yet pre-empting some of the telemarketing calls my
domain registrations generate. (Yes, I asked a similar question about
900# availability before). I'd prefer to have a number somewhere
outside the NANP, preferably an asian country.

Strange parametrization in polr
In Venables \& Ripley 3rd edition (p. 231) the proportional odds model
is described as:
logit(p<=k) = zeta_k + eta
but polr apparently thinks there is a minus in front of eta,
as is apprent below.
Is this a bug og a feature I have overlooked?
Here is the naked code for reproduction, below the results.

USB boot problems on Gigabyte GA-M55Plus-S3G
First, allow me to apologize for taking such a long time to get back
to this small project. I just had other things on my plate. My apology
extends to everyone who has offered suggestions or advice, but most
particularly to Ady <ady-sf at hotmail.com>, who has clearly gone the extra
mile to try to help me get this boot problem worked out.

RuntimeDyLdCOFF and RTTI on Windows
I have a similar build tree to what you describe on Windows, but I get this:
$ clang -c -emit-llvm repro_input.cpp -std=c++11 -o t.bc
$ lli t.bc
LLVM ERROR: Program used external function '??_7type_info@@6B@' which could
not be resolved!
It looks like people have already reported similar issues. Have you done
anything to get past this kind of problem?
