Hello, I want to better understand Wine and its source code, so I've downloaded the source code and successfully built it under Ubuntu 10.10. Now I want to be able independently execute different windows programs under current build folder. My aim is to make execution portable, that I could copy sources and build another Wine executables in another folder so no settings for wine or windows

I have uninstall some applications from wine using wine uninstaller but they keep appering in add and remove programs i have also delete the instalation folder under drivec programa files and run again wine uninstaller but the entry remain, is there any other way to remove this entrys?

Is it possible? If so, can you explain to a newbie (me) precisely how it is done? Don't take any shortcuts with your explanations, please: I'm a bona fida idiot

I installed wine on my desktop running ubuntu 10.04. All was working fine until I installed battlefield 1942. I had an issue so decided to uninstall wine and try again. When I reinstalled wine, I get no Programs item in the menu. I can browse to the folder when browsing the c drive. I started to uninstall BF1942 to try again and had a power cut during the process. Hey, A question of a Tux/Wine Newbie. There's a how-to using Xfire with wine in the appdb, I shall compile it from source using GCC-4.5. But I only know how to compile a single file with it or using the standard 'make' command, how it's shown in the Wine-Wiki. I googled for a tutorial, but didn't found anything. Hey guys ok basically, ive got linux and league of legends working finally. took a while, but now ive come into the following issue to run league of legends, i need to have my prefix set to windows 2000, but steam, and all my other games that run fine with wine, like starcraft 2, need windows XP or windows 7 prefix's, but that damages league of legends from what ive read (i havnt tested this

If one installs a Windows program in Linux with Wine which requires things like Winetricks to install some Windows stuff, is the whole installation within the .Wine folder ? I assume that when installing Windows programs (Including anything else that is necessary, eg. from Winetricks) then everything is indeed within .Wine with no changes at all

How could there be no applications listed in wine uninstaller when I have two different wine prefixes full of apps?

I am attempting to create a folder for my wineprefixes on my external hard disk.
