Onlive client, working, mouse issue
As of WINE 1.3.19 the Onlive client connects and runs nicely. I'm using Ubuntu 11.04, and no firewall software to let it connect. The only problem mouse input (DirectInput I guess) does not work while controlling a player in any games I've tried. It work fine in the Onlive interface and even during in-game menu systems. Any suggestions for an override on this? I'm not experienced

Trouble with directx games on wine-1.2 64 bit
Ever since the RCs and the release of 1.2, I have been having trouble with directx based games not working properly. They did work under wine-1.1.3x. The problems are: video very slow and jerky, about 1 fps, objects appearing as "tears" on the screen, missing some textures, and screen going blank during certain effects. System: 64-bit kubuntu-10.04, dual NVIDIA 9800GT w/ 512 mb, plenty

Conflicts between kde and wine games - workaround
I'm posting this message because I discovered that there appear to be serious video conflicts between some games running in wine, and the kde desktop. Specifically, I have been unable to get "The Witcher Enhanced Edition" to run without severely distorted video. I have both gnome and kde desktops on my system (kUbuntu jaunty-9.04). Today I tried running the game in gnome, and was

legalities of streaming
Hmmm, so in summary, anyone wanting to put together a station for a couple of hundred listeners with out a massive bank account, it can not be done legally. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chris G (Moguta)" <chrisg1@umbc.edu> To: "icecast" <icecast@xiph.org> Sent: Thursday, June 12, 2003 11:33 AM Subject: RE: [icecast] legalities of streaming <p>>

legalities of streaming
Basically, to legally broadcast music you must: A) Obtain permissions from the copyright holder (usually the publisher, record label) of the *composition*. ASCAP, BMI, and SESAC offer compulsory licenses for all of the artists they represent, fees based upon roughly how many listeners your station has & how many songs in your broadcast are by artists/composers they represent. B) Obtain

Query r/e multiple decoder reset...
Hello! I should have asked this earlier, but... :) We're returning to voice processing in our app now, in which we're trying to achieve n-way full duplex voice in a 3d environment. Since Speex is a single voice stream CODEC, we've been looking at having each client upload its stream to the servers, which multiplex several spatially nearby active channels back down to the

Accessible Games in Wine
Hi, I am new to Wine and to the list. I was wondering if someone would be willing to help find out f some accessible games for the blind can be ran under Wine. I use the Orca screen reader which doesn't work with Wine at all. So, if the games can be made to work under Wine, I would like to create a script that will handle all of the setup for each game. At least some of the games require

GNOME menu entries for wine run games
I have been trying to add a launcher to the gnome menu for some of my wine games, but I have found that when I add them to the menu the games complain about missing files, I assume because it is looking for the rest of the game files in the directory that the launcher is in. This doesn't happen when I run the same command within the games directory they work fine. I used to have this problem

Wine slowing up games on each release?
Hello! Now i'm using Wine since 2 years and i always played GTA San Andreas with Wine, together with other games. Every Wine version is getting better and better and i saw a lot of games working simply by waiting it was implemented... Wine is now IMO becoming good for new games, they are more and more supported, less things to patch... But games are working, but getting slower and slower! A
