Hi all. I am wanting to run the following command from the shell :: wineconsole explorer /desktop=ajay Since I intend to launch Windows CUI executables after launching explorer, I use wineconsole; and secondly, I set WINELOADER to the path of 'wineconsole' binary. (These steps are in conjunction with the link http://www.winehq.org/docs/wine But the application just hangs, always.

WineConsole Font Issue
Well many of you already know about the error but I'll still like to explain. I'm actually trying to get a Game Server Run on Linux without the X-server/VNC running. The server works but I don't have any console. There are some users who actually got a console without Xserver/VNC running on their game server using wineconsole so I'm trying to do the same but wineconsole would

Wine on Fedora Core 4: Street Atlas 8 & wineconsole issues
I just did a fresh installation of Fedora Core 4, using my home directories from FC3, including my .wine. In the FC3 environment, I had used winetools to install. I did not want to do a fresh installation of wine, just use an RPM that would work. Alas, I had to fall back to 20041201. SA 8: I installed and uninstalled wine-20050524-1fc3winehq.athlon.rpm, wine-20050310-1fc3winehq.athlon.rpm

is there a way of identifying batch mode running?
Hello list Is there a way of identifying from within R whether a script has been source(d) from Rgui.exe or via Rscript.exe in batch mode? For the code I have I use the commandArgs() function to pick up command line args when running in batch mode via Rscript.exe However I like to get the code working manually first using source("MyRCode.r") I'd like to be able to put something at

Running console apps
Hi! I'm trying to run a program which requires the win console (i.e. it doesn't run from DOS). I can't run it from wineconsole - there is a new window opened, there is a big fat cursor in it, which moves sometimes but nothing remains written. I have also some old DOS programs, which also cannot be run under wineconsole. In such a case, stderr fills with a message saying that

Anybody get ".wsf" WSH scripts to run?
I am a pretty new Wine user. I am hoping to be able to run some pretty large VBScript applications on it, to avoid porting them to Perl when we retire a Windows machine. All of our VBScript runs as children of a WSH ".wsf" file, for example as follows. I can get a simple ".vbs" file to run fine, but when I try to run the same file inside of a simple ".wsf" wrapper,
