Torchlight: Multiplayer MOD not found ...
Hi, I installed the Torlight Multiplayer MOD, but Torchlight can't found it. I guess Wine doesn't find the included DLL in the Torchlight folder. With Windows 7 it works well. The MOD only adds the following files to the Torchlight (Steam) root folder ('/home/gameuser/.local/share/wineprefixes/steam/drive_c/Program Files/Steam/steamapps/common/torchlight') TLAPI: all files of

Trouble with directx games on wine-1.2 64 bit
Ever since the RCs and the release of 1.2, I have been having trouble with directx based games not working properly. They did work under wine-1.1.3x. The problems are: video very slow and jerky, about 1 fps, objects appearing as "tears" on the screen, missing some textures, and screen going blank during certain effects. System: 64-bit kubuntu-10.04, dual NVIDIA 9800GT w/ 512 mb, plenty

Keyboard Grabbing
Hi, I've just manages to get "Return to Castle Wolfenstein" and "Elite Force" working in Linux using wine. The graphics don't work anywhere near as well as with the native Quake 3 though which does concern me a bit. My main concern is a lack of keyboard. I looked through earlier postings for solutions and have now tried the DXgrab=Y option, which didn't help.

Wine fonts messed up
I started using wine and used it to play return to Castle Wolfenstein which worked great. I installed Adobe Acrofat 7 Professional and now all of the wines menus are small and unreadable. Fable crashes
I followed the installation instructions in AppDB but when I press New Game the game crashes. I'm using 1.1.15 in ubuntu 8.10 and it is reported that the game runs in 1.1.5. I tried in two machines both with NVidia cards (7600GT and a 9600GT). What I get running from terminal is below. Is there anything I can try out? I've tried also the "safe mode" from Fable which switches off

Fwd: [EXTERNAL] SNMP shutdown timing out
I meant to send this to the list but evidently only sent it to David. Since sending it I've done a second test which shows what a successful snmpset looks like. First attachment, from the forwarded email, is nutout.txt. Second attachment is snmpout.txt. nomad -------- Forwarded Message -------- Subject: Re: [Nut-upsuser] [EXTERNAL] SNMP shutdown timing out Date: Mon, 4 May 2020 09:28:57

Fwd: [EXTERNAL] SNMP shutdown timing out
Is anyone using snmp-ups with the -k option successfully? This is really starting to look like a bug somewhere in nut, not a config problem. I've just tried the same command from a FBSD box with the same unfortunate result. Mind you, it could be the UPS card, I'm using the same one for both tests. : || nomad at castle nut-2.7.4 [93] ; please drivers/snmp-ups -a nutdev1 -x

Library without malloc
I need to set the content to 0 because actually is not using malloc(), it uses calloc() that does set the memory to 0. How to install libvirt 0.9.4 RPM on Fedora 14?
Hi, I'm trying to install the newest version of libvirt and libvirt-client from the rpms at ftp://libvirt.org/libvirt/ on a Fedora 14 machine. The naming of the rpms as "libvirt-0.9.4-1.fc14.x86_64.rpm" suggests that this is exactly the system this was made for, however, installation still does not go smoothly. When I try to install these packages with yum install

Library without malloc
Yanick & Jean-Marc, First of all thank you very much for taking your time to try to help me. Hi Yanick, This is what I am trying to do, but for example the function SpeexPreprocessState *speex_preprocess_state_init has lots of pointers that are initialize with static inline void *speex_alloc (int size). So I am trying to convert all this pointers into arrays but it is getting messy trying

Help with debugging Fable
So I'm trying to get Fable working, and after going through the various things that I had found on the 'net, it's still not working. So I am wondering what else I could do? I installed DirectX 9, Windows Media Player, and Fable itself without much trouble. The game boots and goes through the splashscreen and opening animation, and then quits. I looked briefly through the output on the

Wine and Return to Castle Wolfenstein problem
This is my 1st attempt a running a Windows program in Linux,(Ultimate Edition 2.8 64bit), and it runs great but there's a small problem. When I quit the game and go back to the desktop and start any program up it only fills the top left hand part of the screen. The approx. 3/4 of the screen that's left is showing my desktop. Library without malloc
Dear all, I am trying to use the Speex library pre-processor, I only need the VAD and Echo Canceller. I am using a STM32F103 processor, but I am using a tiny OS and it doesn't allow to use malloc. Is there a version of the library that will work without the need of using malloc? Obviously I will use all the time the same parameters, like 8kHz sampling rate, 160 frame... I will appreciate
