how to install dragon naturally speaking 10 preferred
i guess i've got kind of a problem.
i' ve got the Dragon naturally speaking 10 preferred version and tried to install it. i already know that i should change the permission condition but when i open the iso file it seems to be imposible. it's just telling me "could not be determined". if i just try to run the exe file with wine it stops immediatly. i acctually have no idea

Regression in Wine 0.9.5 : Dragon Naturally Speaking no longer runs
Dear list,
A bit of caveat : I upgraded wine to the all-new 0.9.5 release, and lost
the use of Dragon Naturally Speaking. The error box reports an "Access
violation" error, and refers to Dragon's own log ; the latter report a
segment violation and barfs a somewhat largish stack dump (available on
request).
I am looking for older (i. e. <=0.9.4) version of Scott Ritchie's

dragon naturally speaking will not work
hi this is my first post having switched to mint so I am clueless but I need to install dragon naturally speaking 11 on my lenovo g560
i used this tutorial http://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?versionId=3227 it went pretty well until it said it was "Replacing default with C:/program"(i can see that that could be a problem but i don't know how to stop it) i was runing it in a terminal

Regression: Dragon Naturally Speaking 7.
I had installed Dragon Naturally Speaking under Wine 1.1.7 and earlier, and it was working fine.
But now under Wine 1.1.9, the result seems to be, that the toolbar for this application first goes into a strange state, where the (Linux) cursor disappears whenever the mouse is positioned over the application's toolbar. And using winecfg to emulate a virtual desktop does not change this

Update on using Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10
DNS 10 installs and runs well for entering text into most other wine applications. Of course, it still runs best in notepad, which is a small, fast program.
As of a couple of gits ago, wine now allows some keystroke command of the program. For instance, highlight the program using alt-tab. Then alt-T (for Tools) then x (for Dictation Box). The box opens and is ready to be dictated into.

Today's git won't install DNS10 - IE not found
I have been installing Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10 without using winetricks fakie6.
For weeks, until today, that has worked.
Today nothing works, including winetricks fakeie6.
Here is the entire setup terminal output with fakeie6 installed.

No, Linux's python has no notion of COM (which is obviously a win32 only thing). And windows python doesn't work all that well on Wine.

Naturally speaking + Wine better, the audio not so good
NaturallySpeaking under wine is working remarkably well considering the amount
of complexity present in both systems.. When I use it, it's just smoother and
feels better than NaturallySpeaking under Windows. My undying gratitude is
extended to all of those that helped.

Naturally speaking under wine help needed

I need some help on a handicap accessibility project. It's really great for
people like me that naturally speaking is working in wine (mostly). One
important shortcoming is getting our dictated text into linux. Today, in order

Can anyone recommend a SMALL Windows program to record audio that is known to work under wine?

Dragon Age driving me insane!

I read with disbelief on the Dragon Age wine appdb page that people actually have working dlc in Dragon Age Origins. This flies in the face of absolutely everything I've seen in my experience with the game. Winetricks gfw under root vs under user

does not work under regular user; only under root (

Cant get Winebottler working... getting very frustrated!
Hi okay.
I am running OSX 10.6.2 (Snow Leopard).
I have X11 2.3.4
I have installed the latest WinebottlerCombo 1.1.35 (includes Wine)
I have a pc file with .exe on the end it will put software into my mac version of DAZ Studio.
I had this working when I had 10.5.8 installed, but then I had to go and mess things up.
When I open my exe file the window opens up:

Wine 1.3.19 and dotnet 1, 2 and 3
Hello to everyone.
I'm trying to install both dotnetfx 1.2.3 in order to check to run a special program for windows xp we use in our office.
First of all I installed dotnet 2, 3. and the installation worked great.
The problem is to install dotnet 1.1.
When I run winetricks I receive this error message.

Actually, I tried everything before... I even do a genzapconf -d.
I really don't know what happened.
After I posted to the list, I made another genzapconf -d and then genzapconf -
l and the card just appeared.
Don't know the exact reason, but... it's working (the card, I still need to
migrate the asterisk from one machine to other)....
