Moneyworks Gold
Hi all First of all I'm completely new to Linux and WINE. I've been toying around for about a week now and have to say I'm quite impressed. So far I've manage to get Office 2007 working through WINE hassle free :). I've managed to find some great alternatives to almost every other program I use in Windows. Unfortunately Moneyworks is an accounting program which is necessary

Wine 1.01 in Ubuntu 8.10
I'm running Wine 1.01 in the beta version of Ibex with Office 2003. I'm having issues with: 1. No MS equation editor extension in Word 2. Attempting to add MathType 6 to Word usually freezes, requiring Force Quit, and when it does function, Word will no longer Save. When attempting to install MathType6: Code: arctos at arctos:~/Desktop$ wine MTW6.0c.exe

How do I debug a VB application install?
I'm trying to debug the installation of a Windows app written in VB (I think VB6). Following the troubleshooting guide here, and referencing the app's own install log, I realized some necessary DLLs were missing. Installed them using winetricks mfc42 vb6run mdac28. I checked a working installation on Windows XP for list of installed MDAC components, and I think I've got all the

MS-Office 2003 crashes when loading documents
I've had a problem with opening existing documents for some time now, but attributed the problem to the number of upgrades my computer has been through. However last week I installed a copy of Ubuntu Maverick and KDE3.5 on a freshly-wiped machine, and I'm still having the same problems. Hopefully someone can help? I have a laptop running ubuntu karmic, and Office 2003 runs fine from

Current state of MS Office 2003?
I installed Office 2003 in Wine without any winetricks or native DLLs. Excel works great, Word crashes a lot and can't save. What's the current best attempt to get Word 2003 to work in Wine? I see the AppDB shows no ideas on getting it working ... It's supported in CrossOver, so it should be possible in winehq Wine! Has anyone got Word working? - d.

Could not find CLSID for Windows Script
Hi! I have gone a bit further with the installation of Python with Wine. I have downloaded http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?msvcirt and placed it in the .wine/drive_c/windows/system directory. And I have run msiexec /i python-2.4.msi within the .wine/drive_c directory. The Python setup windows pops up but when selecting the "Destination directory" I get the

Steam Installation Errors
Hey guys, I'm sure that this question has already been answered. If so, could someone direct me to the answer. The problem is that, steam.exe cannot access the Internet. My Internet service is fine, and I have not had any problems with steam accessing the Internet in the past. The problem only started a few days ago, and I am not sure what the cause is. I have tried basically everything. I

tinc generating invalid packet checksums?
We have a Zenoss server in our main office monitoring (among many other things) an Apache server in a remote network, with a Tinc link between the two networks. The monitoring simply involves making an HTTP request to a URL once every 5 minutes and confirming that a response page comes back. Most of the requests to this particular web server succeed (and similar requests to other web servers

[RFC] Adopt Dexter and use it to run debuginfo-tests
Hi llvm-dev@, This is a proposal for LLVM to adopt Sony's Dexter tool [0], import it into the debuginfo-tests repo, and use it to run integration tests between debuggers and clang/llvms debuginfo. (Sony has approved donating Dexter to LLVM). Background ---------- The debuginfo-tests repo contains an integration test suite for debug data, which builds each test case from its source code

Running debuginfo-tests with Dexter
Hi llvm-dev@, There's been some renewed interest in integration tests for debuginfo, checking that debuggers interpret LLVMs output in the way we expect. Paul suggested a while back [0] that our (Sony's) Dexter [1] tool could be a useful driver for running debuginfo tests -- I'd like to ask whether people think this would be desirable course to take, and what the requirements for
