Fifa 11: Environment Collision Geo Sent
HI there guys!
Just installed fifa 11 very smoothly on wine 1.3.7 (I use Arch!).
Game launches, Kaka loads playing at the start, but when I try to launch a match, the game crashes with the error listed in the subject!
You know what could be? Do I have to modify something in winecfg?
Thanks in advance!

FIFA 11 won't install in Wine 1.3.12
Hi! I've searched the forum (and the Internet) for this problem but apparently I'm lucky enough to be the only one experiencing it (yay!).
I've just installed Wine 1.3.12 and dotnet20 through winetricks in my Ubuntu 10.10. Everything went very smoothly. When I run "wine EASetup.exe" from the FIFA 11 DVD (not the physical disk but a mounted ISO), I get the initial install

Trouble with Starcraft II, actual gameplay doesn't work.
I installed starcraft 2 into wine, and everything works perfectly fine. I log in, go to singleplayer, start a game with the AI, and everything works as it should. But the actual game doesn't work, I can't see or control any units or
buildings. Example:

Radeon graphics problems with CentOS 6.6
Hello,
I saw in the CentOS 6.6 release notes that the Xorg ABI has changed but
that "This should not concern anyone who uses the default drivers shipped
with CentOS." I'm using the ATI drivers in Base but X still fails when I
boot a CentOS 6.6 kernel. I was hoping this is a known problem that would
get fixed with a kernel update but I'm still having problems with the

Blank screen while loading AMD/ATI graphics driver (fglrx) in Dom0 (Linux 3.0/3.2) with Xen 4.1/4.2
Hi,
I had posted the following issue a few days ago in Xen-users but I haven''t
received any answer yet. So I decided to re-post it here in hope for some
solution.
Here''s the original post:
Xen wiki states that using linux 3.0 and above as dom0 works with all
graphics cards. I could install the fglrx graphics driver on my desktop
machine with a discrete graphics card (Radeon

Wine is using onboard graphic card instead of the "real" one
hi,
I'm trying for some time to get a few games to run and it seems like Wine wants to use my onboard graphic card (ATI HD 3200) instead of my ATI HD 5670. The reason i think that is a) sometimes when launching Starcraft 2 it tells me that the driver for my graphics card HD3200 is out of date and that i should update, and b) i found this when i tried launching Natural Selection 2.:

4 monitors with one graphics card and standard driver
I've just test an ATI FirePro 2460 graphics card on CentOS 6.4. It
connects 4 monitors.
It worked with the standard radeon driver. I was able to arrange the
monitors into my
preferred configuration (as a square array, 1 upper left, 2 lower left, 3
lower right, 4
upper right) simply by clicking System -> Preferences -> Display, and then
moving the
four monitor images. This creates the

Maildir folder hierarchy question
Hello all,
I am trying to set up Dovecot to use a particular
maildir folder hierarchy and have a problem that
relates to the inbox.
the folder hierarchy I want in /.../Maildir/ is:
.inbox
cur
new
tmp
.imap.index.files-for-inbox
.sent-items
cur
new
tmp
.imap.index.files-for-sent-items
however the hierarchy that dovecot gives me is
.inbox (unused)
.INBOX
.imap.index.files-for-.INBOX

VGA/PCI Passthrough of Secondary Graphics Adapter
Aloha!
Concisely, I''ve been trying for several days to get VGA/PCI passthrough
working. Regarding VGA vs PCI passthrough, I''m not entirely certain of the
difference? Does Xen perform a different set of operations when passing
through a VGA card versus any PCIe card? I''ve read the wiki and it seems
the answer is "yes;" however, when passing through a

Secret of Monkey Island SE, steam on wine, crashes on start
I'm wondering if anyone can help me?
I'm trying to run Secret of Monkey Island special edition in Steam on wine with Ubuntu Maverick Meerkat. I can install steam and use it to install the game (after it installs directx), apparently with no problems, but when I try to run the game, a window opens saying "Preparing to launch The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition". Centos 7, ATI card, 30" monitor
Well, I got my user back to being able to use his system, but I've still
got one issue: it's running on the VESA driver - there is *no* Catalyst
build for this monitor, for CentOS 7. From a lot of googling, nothing's
been done since the summer of '14 (lspci reports it as a FirePro V3900).
Any thoughts, or pointers, as to if/how I can get X - he's running KDE -

Thank you for your interest.
I am running CentOS-7 installed from CentOS-7-x86_64-LiveKDE-1503.iso
and later upgraded to CentOS-7.2.
The only packages I have installed have been from CentOS and Epel repos.

Gaming support with different hardware vendors (esp. ATI)
Hi all!
I recently got an ATI Radeon HD 3850 card and now noticed that with the
fglrx driver many games that look well in AppDB do not run properly on
this hardware (Supreme Commander ingame: flickering static garbage, Prince
of Persia SoT has several issues that completely garble ingame graphics).
Older games (not using shaders among other things) seem to run fine - need
to do more testing
