Error with TD Ameritrade StrategyDesk
Hi all, I'm getting an error trying to run the latest version of StrategyDesk. I was two versions behind before getting a new notebook, and everything had been working great for a couple years. Now with the new notebook, I've switched from Darwine to the MacPorts version of Wine 1.1.42. The app installs fine and asks me to log in as normal, but when it tries to authenticate, I get this

Splinter Cell Double Agent crash on start up
Hello, I'm new to Wine but have just installed Splinter Cell Double agent. I can get the game to launch, but it crashes and displays a message saying Wine caused the crash. I've looked in the AppDB and have replaced one of the dll files it said to for the game... Here's the Terminal code... any chance anyone knows how to get this working? Many thanks! wine SCDAAutoRun.exe

no connection point for {33ad4f92-6699-11cf-b70c-00aa0060d39
Trying to run a certain game called Empyrean Challenge. The program is written in VB apparently. In the past, the program ran fine by installing via winetricks dcom98. Well, that has been removed from dcom98. Without dcom98, I get a Windows runtime error 438. The relevant message on the console, near as I can tell, is: fixme:ole:OLEPictureImpl_FindConnectionPoint no connection point for

Astrosynthesis anyone?
I can't get this to work in wine. Using version 1.3.5, and the current Astrosynthesis program. I install the program, and execute it. X11 window pops up, and, nothing. Nothing is displayed. I have tried endless settings, different OS versions, you name it, can't seem to get past the blank screen. This is on Mac OSX Snow Leopard. I also even tried XQuartz but it made no difference. No

[LLVMdev] [cfe-dev] is configure+make dead yet?

So what *do* XCode users do (to build llvm/clang)? Do they somehow set up XCode to build using the autoconf build system? Do they build llvm/clang outside of XCode? If the answer to either of the last two questions is

[LLVMdev] [RFC] Progress report on CMake build system's ability to replace autoconf
So, we’ve had this conversation a few times, and I wanted to coalate a status report for all the interested parties. Here's the outstanding work and my (not necissarily correct) view of the status and importance of each one: * Bug 12157 - llvmconfig.cmake.in make cmake installations not relocatable - There are patches on the bug that we should review, test, and land * Bug 14109 - CMake

[LLVMdev] [cfe-dev] is configure+make dead yet?
Using cmake should be the right thing if you'd like to support windows, but it seems that no enough effort on this build system, eg http://llvm.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=12157 three months passed, I'am I bit familiar with cmake, so if there tasks pending for absence of developer, I'd like to join. cmake is not perfect but it's open, but many improvements maybe merged upstream.

help with zoo
Hi, I am interested in decomposing a time series and getting the trend, seasonal and?irregular variations, as one can get with the "stl" command. My time series is fairly regular, but it has some breaks. From the zoo manual, I gather that it should be possible to convert it to a regular time series and then fill the NA entries by interpolation. I am not able to proceed beyond a certain

rsnyc over ssh through scripting and cron...
hello all: I have two machines (approx 50 miles apart) that I need to create a co-located backup solution for. One machine will serve as a central fileserver for an office, and every week a backup of that directory will be sent through the internet to a box I have here locally. I am aware of rsync being able to run over SSH, however I need this to be totally automated (SSH opening, passwords

performance with >50GB files
Hi all, today we had a performance issue transfering a big amount of data where one file was over 50GB. Rsync was tunneled over SSH and we expected the data to be synced within hours. However after over 10 hours the data is still not synced ... The sending box has rsync running with 60-80 % CPU load (2GHz Pentium 4) while the receiver is nearly idle. So far I had no acces to the poblematic
