Oblivion - Knights of the Nine & Shivering Isles
Greetings,
my edition of Oblivion, GOTY in German, contains Knight of the Nine and
Shivering Isles. Installation of Oblivion in wine required WinXP- see
thread from 29.5.2011- but the game itself works fine. Nice game BTW. :)
After finishing Oblivion i wanted to play the above mentioned additions.
KotN was missing and for Shivering Isles i got this:

[LLVMdev] "make check" failures: leaq in fold-mul-lohi.ll, stride-nine-with-base-reg.ll, stride-reuse.ll
Fixed. However, I wonder if we are doing the right / smart codegen for
static codegen. AMD64 ABI document seems to indicate rip relative
addressing should be used even in this case (see page 38). You know
about about Linux addressing mode than I do. Please check.
Thanks,
Evan

[LLVMdev] "make check" failures: leaq in fold-mul-lohi.ll, stride-nine-with-base-reg.ll, stride-reuse.ll
Hi Evan,
In -relocation-model=static mode, those tests are now getting
code like this
leaq A, %rsi
movss %xmm0, (%rsi,%rdx,4)
instead of this:
movss %xmm0, A(,%rdx,4)
This is specifically what these tests were written to catch :-).
Running them with -relocation-model=pic is hiding the real bug.

Nine questions about methods and generics
I have a series of question about methods and generics.
The questions are interspersed in some text which explains
what I want to do, how it works now and why I do not
understand well why it works. Questions are written
Q1 and so on up to Q9 and always start a new line.
The concrete problem is this: it has become customary
after a meta-analysis to quote various statistics

R ignores number only with a nine under 10000
Hello R users,
I'm trying to replace numerical values in a datamatrix with strings. R does
this except for numbers under 10000 starting with a 9 (eg 98, 970, 9504
etc). This is really weird and I wondered whether someone had encountered
such a problem or knows the solution. I'm using the next script:
test_1 <- read.table("5+ref_151111clusters3.csv", header = TRUE, sep =

'point-and-print' general questions
I have gotten 'point-and-print' working, but there are a couple small
issues/questions I am trying to get my grasp around:
- rpcclient print-1201 -U root%secret -c 'enumdrivers'
this lists the drivers twice (I saw one other post about this,
without any followup)
- When adding drivers via the Windows APW, after uploading the drivers
and the APW closing - are you supposed to

Hiya.... weird graphics issue.
Hi all.
Ok, here's the situation. I'm trying to run QuArk under Ubuntu/WINE 1.2. Most programs work just fine. What I'm noticing with QuArk is that the window only seems to recognize the upper left two thirds or so of the screen. It won't draw the actual program window any larger than that. It's as if as far as WINE is concerned, I have a resolution of 1024x768 and

[PATCH 00/12] Cherry-pick nv50/nvc0 patches from gallium-nine
I went through the gallium-nine tree and picked out nouveau patches that are
general bug-fixes. The first bunch I'd like to also get into 10.2. I've
reviewed all of them and they make sense to me, but sending them out for
public review as well in case there are any objections.
Unless I hear objections, I'd like to push this by Friday.

Journal Articles that Have Used R
Is there a way to get a reference list of journal articles that have used R?
I am just looking for some examples of R graphs and presentation of results where R was used to generate the results.
Thanks for any feedback and insights.

HELP - four.nines.cartesian.probability.grid
My routine (below) works OK but misbehaves if the on-screen plot is made
wider using the mouse.
The problem is caused by using
par("usr")[1] - 0.07 * (par("usr")[2] - par("usr")[1])
to locate two items on the y-axis. The rest of the labeling is controlled
by the "line=0" parameter setting. Of course resizing changes the absolute
plot width, and
