Anyone having his USB Joystick working in wine?
Hi everyone,
I am running X-Plane under wine, but the joystick input is ignored.
Is there anything special I need to do in the wine setup to have the
joystick recognized.
My joystick is a USB Logitech Wingman Extreme 3D, and it
works normally under other Linux applications.

Anyone still have a Tripp-Lite 3004-protocol USB UPS?
I was cleaning up some digital detritus when I ran across an old SVN
branch for the proprietary Tripp Lite 3004 USB protocol (the non-PDC
variety). It looks very similar to the binary 3005 protocol, which has
been added to NUT, but I'd like to have someone sanity-check things
before we claim compatibility.
Any volunteers?
I'm not sure what models this covers, except maybe the

Anyone successfully using CentOS 5 and a Keyspan USA-19HS USB-Serial Adapter?
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
I occasionally need to connect to a serial device and in the past have
used minicom and the Keyspan USA-19HS adapter. It has worked
flawlessly. Once I upgraded, I could never seem to make this work. The
kernel recognizes the adapter, it gets properly assigned as
/dev/ttyUSB0, and minicom seems to transmit data to it (as evidenced by

Getting two notifications of nocomm-timer expired when USB cable is pulled from the UPS
NUT 2.8.01
When I pull the USB cable from the UPS, I get two notifications of the nocomm-timer expired. The first notification is in the proper sequence, the second notification occurs after 'commok' occurs. Seems somehow that upssched-cmd is getting a second nocomm-timer expired delayed.

Anyone using PCI/USB xDSL under Linux?
I am looking to find people who are using either a PCI xDSL card or an
USB xDSL modem right now under Linux. I am not entirely sure where I
should go look to find people who do this, but they definitely exist
now that there are drivers for several modems.
Specifically I am interested in performance and latency.
When using an ethernet connected xDSL modem, you obviously get the
ethernet latency

USB For Beginners
any patient person out there can explain to a total noob how to use a windows usb device, with a windows driver, via wine?
according to http://forum.winehq.org/viewtopic.php?t=4154&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=usb, i have to make some sort of entry in the "dosdevices" directory from your serial port to the com port. i think. no, that's just for modems.

[PATCH]: ifplop.c32: COM32 module for detection of PLoP USB boot-loader
I wrote a COM32 module which detects if the PLoP bootmanager was used to
boot a CDROM drive or USB drive, by checking for the presence of the PLoP
INT13h hook.
The PLoP INT13h hook check works like this (NASM syntax):
mov eax,'PoLP' ; Reverse of 'PLoP'
mov ebp,'DKHC' ; Reverse of 'CHKD'
int 13h
cmp eax,' sey' ; Reverse of 'yes '

Hi,
I am trying to build the driver for the TI USB 3410/5052 family of devices.

I have the source for the driver which came with the modem. However, I

I have found references saying usb-serial.h has been moved. Even though

USB support in wine for TDK CD/DVD Print Labeller
Hi
Does anybody know whether wine works with USB ports or not ?
The reason I ask is that I'm trying to get the application TDK CD/DVD
Printer Labeller Software running, the software appears to work except
for the fact it complains that "The printer is turned off or not
connected to the computer".

Adding a DVD Writer device
After my laptop corrupting dvd after dvd, I decided to plug in the dvd drive from my other PC, which broke down 2 months ago. I connected it through a USB SATA interface and since it?s the second drive, it?s under "/media/cdrom1/" now.
However, Wine doesn?t detect the drive when I choose "Auto Detect", nor does it allow me to add an actual drive name when adding a new drive.

Unfortunately I do not use the latest versions of NUT, the driver I
created, solis, was changed, not by me, and now does not work on my
nobreak, which I used to create the driver.

HID device (USB protection dongle) not recognized
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to run a software that relies on an USB protection dongle.
Windows sees the dongle as a HID device, and my Debian detects it correctly.
Here's the dump from lsusb for that device:
