Curse of Monkey Island doesn't work with wine 0.9.24
I installed the game like it is described in the WineHQ application database. The installation worked without problems but running the game produced the following error message: Cannot create DirectSound object (-2147467259) I got around this by switching off OSS sound and using ALSA instead, but know I have the same problem that Erich Hoover mentioned in the AppDB. The music starts to play but

Silly answers to silly questions for a silly Noob.
OK, I'm a noob to Wine. I've figured some stuff out with Wine and it sees everything I want it to see just fine. OK, I understand why you don't want Wine to see your windows install, but I put all my program installs on a separate partition. Now with this in mind can I just have Wine look at my Program Files and run my apps from there, or do I have to reinstall all the apps I want

Problem implementing 'waldtest' when using 'mlogit' package
Hi all, I have been working through the examples in one of the vignettes associated with the 'mlogit' package, 'Kenneth Train's exercises using the mlogit package for R.' In spite of using the code unchanged, as well as the data used in the examples, I have been unable to run a Wald test to test two models. Specifically, I have run the following command, where mc and mi2 are

Is it possible to avoid inserting spill/split code in certain instruction sequence in RA?
Hi all, I am working on an out-of-tree target. I am wondering if it is possible to force the register allocator (and/or spiller) to not break certain instruction sequence. For example: phys_reg = MI1 vreg1 vreg 2 = MI2 phys_reg Is there a way to tell RA/spiller not to insert COPY or spill between MI1 and MI2? I am using greedy register allocator and inline spiller. -- Regards, Dongrui

DBG_VALUE insertion for spills breaks bundles
Hi, The insertion of DBG_VALUE instructions for spills does not seem to be handling insert locations inside bundles well. If the spill instruction is part of a bundle, the new DBG_VALUE is inserted after it, but does not have the bundling flags set. This essentially means that if we start with a set of bundled instructions: MI1 [BundledSucc=true, BundledPred=false] MI2 [BundledSucc=false,

DBG_VALUE insertion for spills breaks bundles
Hi again, Here is a small patch to fix this issue. Please note that since the problem results in broken bundles, it can result in invalid schedules for any VLIW back-ends using bundling to group instructions. Best regards Saurabh Verma From: Verma, Saurabh Sent: Tuesday, December 19, 2017 4:14 PM To: llvm-dev at lists.llvm.org Subject: DBG_VALUE insertion for spills breaks bundles Hi, The

[RFC] Tablegen-erated GlobalISel Combine Rules
...Continued from the other email Removing the defs section We can potentially infer quite a lot of the defs section but it requires both a complicated ruleset and that tblgen spends processing time doing the inferencing. That processing time is potentially significant for large combiners and for that reason we need to be careful not to let inferencing become a burden on tblgen. My main worry

MI2
My CLEC just called and asked if we will support the "MI2" protocol on our proposed T1 circuit. I think this is for CallerID name. Will the T100P support this? Thanks, Mike

Generación de números aleatorios. Mixtura k-puntos

Monkey Island 2: Special Edition from Steam
I'm running Ubuntu 10.04 64bit on a Thinkpad T500, I believe I'm using the integrated Intel GMA 4500MHD graphics that come with it. I'm using the default WINE install, I think version 1.1.42. I'm trying to run Monkey Island 2: Special Edition downloaded from Steam. It actually sort of works. It installed just fine. When I first ran it gave me a blank screen and that was it.

[LLVMdev] MachineOperand: Subreg defines and the Undef flag
Hi, This question relates to the undef flag in the context of sub-register def operands. 1) Firstly, the documentation (comments in the source code) says that in a sub-register def operand, the "IsUndef" flag refers to the part of the register that is not written. 2) Further, the documentation about readsReg() states that a sub-register def implicitly reads the other parts of the

sound error with Freddy Fish
I'm sure that this has been asked and answered already, but I can't find it. I have been able to get wine to run Freddi Fish 3 for my daughter but after starting up, showing the splash screen and starting the game, the game dies with the error... "Cannot get the sound card driver to accept the sound clip" or something along those lines. The strange thing is that it has been

oggdropXPd.exe crashes when resampling is activated
I need to encode a WAV to OGG but must resample to 22050 samples per second, but can't do that with oggdropXPd.exe. The application always crashes. What I do is: Start oggdropXPd.exe. Right-click on fish, choosing 'Encoding Options'. Under Advanced Options, I set Re-sample to 22050 samples per second. Click 'Accept'. Drag WAV on fish. In the directory where the WAV originates,

HowTo run Monkey Island 4 with wine
Hi, because nobody was able to tell me why I wasn't able to run Monkey Island in wine I now tell you what i did to get it running: I have installed wine with the transgaming directx patch (which is not necessary for wine). Monkey Island defaulted to DirectX when I started it, but the Transgaming Patch is yet not good enough to run MI4. To get it running you have to to the following:
