For what reason the "official" Wine does not support USB ?
Hello
A lot of windows application need access to an USB port.
For Wine a library (or a patch) exists to manage that but it is not include in the "official" release.
If we want to work with this USB port, we have to compile a personal version of Wine, but this is not really obvious for every body.
Why this feature is not include in the release ?
Do you plan an official release with

Or ship the "linux" version instead of the "mtools" version of syslinux,
or use the extlinux installer and mount explicitly.

syslinux fails to make a bootable USB stick in Slackware64-14.1 installer
Running "syslinux -s /dev/dsb" during installation of Slackware64-14.1 (to make a bootable USB stick) fails like this:
Error converting to codepage 850 Invalid argument
Cannot initialize 'S:'
Bad target s:/ldlinux.sys
syslinux: failed to create ldlinux.sys
But running the same command in the installed system succeeds.
In both cases we are using syslinux-4.0.6 (same syslinux

Problems building wine 1.3.20 on Mac os x 10.6.7
Hi all,
I have been trying to build wine from source on my imac, but I encountered errors that I have no idea how to fix [Crying or Very sad]
I configured with:
Code:
./configure CPPFLAGS='-I/usr/X11/include -I/opt/local/include' LIBS='-lGL -lGLU' LDFLAGS='-L/usr/X11/lib -L/opt/local/lib'
I installed the dependencies for wine with MacPorts (hence the /opt/local).

Centos 6 Server has no GUI
I believe I have the exact answer to "Centos 6 Server has no GUI" but I don't see how to attach my answer to that thread.
I am running in Virtual Box on a Windows machine. When I changed my memory available from ? Gb to 1 Gb , and my video memory to 24Mb, my installation script went from an interface reminiscent of MS-DOS in the 80's to a nice GUI installation, and my number of

TCP/IP block size
I
don't know if this is a Samba question or an OS question. I'm
working on an embedded project (microcontroller, limited RAM)
that reads files from a FreeBSD/Samba (FreeNAS) box using TCP/IP transport on port 445. They're MP3 files so they're
several MB at least. If I request 512 or 1024 bytes each time, I get
1024 bytes back from Samba every time. That's good.
But, if I
