Help with Registry Stuff
I've used the Wiki page to find and set my video memory size, but I am puzzled because it doesn't seem to be working. The setting is HKCU.Software.Wine.Direct3D.VideoMemorySize I set this to a string value of 128 which is the size in MB of my video memory. Have it set it to the wrong value type? Should the string value have been enclosed in quotes? I am on UBUNTU 10.04 running wine

App asks for multiple back buffers, but
Seems wine isn't there yet. I think it only allocates one buffer, and my debug output indicates this is causing a problem. I got 15,000+ lines of output, and I am sure we don't want to put them on this database. However, here are the last few lines: err:ddraw:IDirectDrawImpl_CreateNewSurface IWineD3DDevice::CreateSurface failed. hr = 8876017c err:ddraw:IDirectDrawImpl_CreateSurface

Age of Empires 3
Hello everyone :) I'm trying to get age of empires 3 to work, but I'm having some trouble with it. First of all: Installation went 100% smooth. No error message or anything, looked really good. Now I can start the age3.exe (replaced with a no-cd version) and the game starts up. There are 2 or 3 video trailers and after that the game just exists with an error message ("Age 3 has

Hi, have recently bought MI5 (Tales of Monkey Island), and I am currently trying to run it under wine in Ubuntu 9.04 and I am running the latest development version 1.1.25. I am running this over the latest stable version due to less graphical errors when trying to run the game. To get the game running I followed this guide posted on the telltale's ( the creators of the game) forum >

Multiple problems with 2.2.7a-0.2
As the subject line indicates, I'm having multiple problems with 2.2.7a-0.2 . I compiled from source using the instructions for creating a debian package, then did a dpkg -i of the packages that were built. Prior to running 2.2.7a-0.2, I was running 2.2.3a from the stable debian package. I switched to 2.2.7a-0.2 because of the ongoing problem with default printer settings on builds prior to

ADUC missing msNPAllowDialin and need vpn advice for ad setup.
Hai Rowland, Ok, cool, thanks for that. Thats good to have that confirmed, the search show the same here. Enabled that one, and yes, i can see the msNPAllowDailin but only in attribut editor, Dail-in tab still errors. Reappy-ing the file : MS-AD_Schema_2K8_R2_Attributes.txt Is that possible, that "should" fix the missing parts. I suspect a failure in the structure of the AD. (

Wrong object type produced - LANGSXP should be LISTSXP (PR#7055)
Full_Name: David Bauer Version: 1.9 OS: Linux Submission from: (NULL) (160.91.245.8) In the file gram.y, the xxsubscript function generates a LANGSXP with another LANGSXP as its CDR. I believe that this is a mistake and that the second LANGSXP should be a LISTSXP. The inputs a1, a3 are parameters to the subscript function (a2), and as such they should be in a dotted-pair list. Dual-boot with WinXP, CentOS already installed
Hi all, I'd like to deploy a solution with dual-booting systems where CentOS 5.3 is already installed and WinXP will be installed to a separate disk. I found http://apcmag.com/how_to_dual_boot_linux_and_windows_xp_linux_installed_first.htm?page=1 and it seems straight forward enough, although the description is for Ubuntu. The problem as I see it, is that the how-to differs from how
