Neverwinter Nights Update ?
Hello all I have just purchased NeverWinter Nights Platinum Edition which consists of the original game plus Shadows of Undrentide and Hordes of the Underdark. The installation is at version 1.63 and I have been trying to update to version 1.69 by means of the patches downloaded from nwn.bioware.com. These patch files are about 300 Mb each in size and are called NWNEnglish1.69OrigUpdate.exe

Oblivion - Knights of the Nine & Shivering Isles
Greetings, my edition of Oblivion, GOTY in German, contains Knight of the Nine and Shivering Isles. Installation of Oblivion in wine required WinXP- see thread from 29.5.2011- but the game itself works fine. Nice game BTW. :) After finishing Oblivion i wanted to play the above mentioned additions. KotN was missing and for Shivering Isles i got this: http://www.triffids.de/pub/spiele/ob/ob4.jpg

wisotool: automated game installer, now supports 12 games
wisotool is a handy winetricks-like script for automatically installing games from .iso files copied from your own dvds (or, if the game is freely downloadable, it will download it). Just like winetricks, it is intended to make testing Wine easier, but might be useful for people who simply want to install games. Unlike winetricks, wisotool is quiet by default; it doesn't ask any questions

Freetype kills Icewind Dale 2 on Fedora 9
The latest Fedora 9 RPM install of Wine (0.9.58-1) will give the following complaint without freetype installed: Code: Wine cannot find the FreeType font library. To enable Wine to use TrueType fonts please install a version of FreeType greater than or equal to 2.0.5. http://www.freetype.org However Icewind Dale 2 still runs fine. But if I install freetype then it won't run at all and

Icewind Dale 2 Mouse Cursor
Hi, First I want to say I am really impressed with Wine. Its about as good as Cedega and sometimes better in my experience. Anyways my problem concerns Icewind Dale 2, after starting the game up my mouse cursor is not the gloved hand in game version but a mix of that and the KDE desktop cursor. It looks like a black square with both cursors overlapping. Naturally this makes it difficult to play

Mass Effect 2 bug 23135
Hello. I am wondering if anyone is playing Mass Effect 2 with the latest wine, (patched or otherwise) and if so, are you using a dual core cpu? Mine is an AMD am2 6000+, and I have trouble with bug 23135, Mass Effect 2 hangs/crashes after Sheppard is reanimated. Dan Kegel is thinking of closing the bug under suspicion that it's a game glitch, now a wine problem, and some posts on the bioware

Uninstallation of Programs
I am a noobie to wine. I have just install .59 version. My question is how do I go about uninstalling Games that do not work? I looked at the WIKI and it said something about uninstaller, but I am either dense or it isn't nobbie friendly. Is there something like add/remove like in Windows Control Panel? For instance, I have installed Icewind dale on 2 computers. One installation is good and

ClientAliveInterval
Hi, I am having some trouble with the ClientAliveInterval server setting. My (C++) application fails to start an SSH channel to an OpensSSH server within this time-out period if it doesn't reply correctly to this 'keep-alive' no-op that is sent by the server. How is this no-op handled? I am using the libssh client library, and I could find no references on how to handle this.

[LLVMdev] Relocation issue with jump tables in ELF object files on X86_64
(llvm 2.6) We have an application where we are using LLVM to generate ELF object files for X86_64. At runtime we load these objects files into memory using our own ELF loader. Everything is working except for the jump tables. The ELF emitter is generating JMPQ instructions using X86::reloc_absolute_word_sext relocations which we are unable to patch to the jump table in the .rodata segment

[LLVMdev] Relocation issue with jump tables in ELF object files on X86_64
We generating object files, not using the JIT so I don't know if those fixes applies in our case. As far as using PIC goes, the ELFCodeEmitter has asserts to tell you that PIC isn't currently supported. Will have to get the 2.7 update and try it out. Thanks. -----Original Message----- From: Howell, Nathan [mailto:nhowell at ebay.com] Sent: Thursday, June 17, 2010 3:45 PM To: Eli

[LLVMdev] Relocation issue with jump tables in ELF object files on X86_64
I had this problem a while back and received this response from Jeffrey. FWIW this is fixed in 2.7 by defaulting to CodeModel::Large and using indirect (far) calls. -----Original Message----- From: Jeffrey Yasskin [mailto:jyasskin at google.com] Sent: Monday, December 07, 2009 11:32 AM To: Howell, Nathan Cc: LLVM Developers Mailing List Subject: Re: [LLVMdev] 2.6 JIT using wrong address for

[Dragon Age Origins] Official DLCs "Unable to load area"
I have a Steam version of DAO + Awakening and have had no troubles with it up until now when I've bought some DLCs from official bioware store. For any DLC I bought I'm getting "Unable to load area" error right after character creation or importing (or, in case of "Leliana's song" --- right after "Play" is pressed in "Other campaigns" menu). Its
