WINE and NVIDIA issues - scrolling away from fullscreen
Hi everybody :)
I seem to have a problem with my WINE running fullscreen applications, such as games. When I start, say, a fullscreen game, it does start in fullscreen, but if I move my mouse to the right or bottom edge of the screen, the game screen "scrolls away", and I'm shown my desktop (at a lower resolution). When I pull my mouse/touchpad back to the left or upper edge, the

Smoothly alt+cursoring in and out of fullscreen wine games
I've had CS:S installed before and there wasn't a problem.
Basically I want to be able to alt+cursor left and right out of Counter Strike: Source to my other workspaces in Ubuntu 9.10, and when I alt+cursor back to the workspace running CS:S let it still in full screen mode.
At the moment the game follows me to the new workspace minimized, and I have to manually click on it in my lower

Steam games do not work
openSUSE 11.2, KDE 4.3, wine-1.2-rc7, kwin compositing effects disabled, games ran in different windows versions from 95 to 7
Steam games do not launch in fullscreen mode, only in windowed mode. And when pressing any key on the keyboard, the game crashes (be it in the game menu or in-game). Mouse movements and clicking work fine.
this is what shows up in windowed mode after pressing a key on the

fullscreen uses panning, and xrandr has cursor moving
I'm having a problem with games running in wine fullscreen with nvidia proprietary driver 185.18 under Fedora 11 64-bit.
My desktop resolution is 1920x1200, and when I run a game with 1280x960 fullscreen setup (like Halo for example), it changes resolution to 1280x960 and runs fullscreen as expected, but when I move the mouse toward the edge rapidly, it pans the game screen away as if

Mouse problem in Fallout
Good day list,
I am trying to get Fallout Tactics, Brotherhood of Steel to work with wine.
Everything went exceptionally well with the install etc. Everything is working
great except when I am in the game. When I move the mouse to scroll the map, the
map does not scroll (in windowed mode). Everything else works fine. When I switch to
fullscreen, X freezes up on me when I move the mouse to the

How do I get the Wine *WINDOW* to grab control of my mouse?
Hi,
For some (most?) games the screen edges are used for scrolling/turning, etc. Running them in Wine is no problem in full-screen, but in Windowed mode the mouse just moves off, and if the mouse has been 'jerked' fast enough, it is left within the window some distance away from the screen edge. Meaning the window doesn't scroll/your character doesn't turn.
Is there any way for

Counter Strike Source Won't load.
Okay so I have just installed Fedora 16 64-bit. Coming from a Ubuntu user I'm well aware that counter strike source works great under linux. I've been trying to get it to work but every time I try to load it, it loads for a moment and then crashes. I have the proprietary AMD ATI drivers for my ATI Radeon HD 5750. They seem to be rendering fine according to the debugger. I'm currently

Counter Strike Source rando quits, and that's pretty much it
I was very excited recently because for the first time in my attempts to get my windows games to work with wine I actually managed to install steam, counter strike source, and half life 1. And then it actually launched and everything seemed to be going so well but then I joined a server, and after a while counter strike just quit on me taking me back to the desktop. I haven't found anything

Can't Run Anything Fullscreen on Ubuntu
I'm running Wine on Ubuntu, and I can't seem to run any games fullscreen. They give me errors about being unable to set the resolution. I can run the games with Virtual Desktop enabled, but no matter what I set the resolution to, the window is always the same size, and the Virtual Desktop is always a tiny bit bigger than that window, so I can't see the entire game. I've seen a

Trouble Running Games using Wine on Ubuntu 10.10
I'm having some trouble running the following games on Ubuntu 10.10 using wine:
Counter-strike source/Half Life 2
Warcraft 3/Frozen Throne
The games run, but very very slowly (unplayable). I managed to get Counter Strike 1.6 to work fine by setting the renderer to be 'Software' under the Video options, but the other games have no such option (that I'm aware of).
I'd never

Fullscreen DirectX breaks with new versions
Hi all, this error is almost certainly due to a misconfiguration while using tools/winebuild, but every time I update my version of Wine, my fullscreen game (Hoyles Card Games 2001) refuses to work fullscreen anymore :(
NB. My current Wine build (LinuxMint) is about 0.9.44 or so, which is the working one. Many of my distro's built in versions of Wine have all worked fullscreen, it is only

Theoretically - yes. In practice - depends. It's still not a full fix.
