I need a pod catcher to catch podcasts and download them to my HD where I can then move them onto my mp3 player that I take to work every day. I don't need a new mp3 player so don't suggest VLC. Now that my CentOS 5 server is up and running and playing nicely with Windows, it's time for fun. What's the easiest way to add MP3 support to the Rhythmbox Music Player.

Can anybody please suggest a suitable plugin to enable playing of mp3 files with either Totem or Rythmbox. Both of these come as part of the CentOS 5 package, but strangely neither has the necessary plugin for mp3, which surely is a common enough format in the music world? Thanks, Andy

I changed the default player for MP3 files to xmms, if the file is local it works fine, if the file is on a network drive ( all my music is ) it has the movie player as the default player, any way I can change that, Thanks...

I'm using Ubuntu 10.04. I had been using Wine 1.2.x out of the Ubuntu repos. Wine Config & unistall manager were working fine. Today I unistalled that and added the Wine ubuntu repository. Then I installed Wine 1.3. But Wine no longer has Winecfg or uninstall manager. Why? How could I get them? :?

While doing a browser fingerprinting survey, I was quite surprised to see I actually have a FireFox plugin installed. The culprit is /usr/lib64/mozilla/plugins/librhythmbox-itms-detection-plugin.so It appears that whoever maintains the rhythmbox RPM has chosen not to package the browser plugin separately like it probably should be. So if I have the rhythmbox RPM installed, I have the plugin.
