Having trouble installing flash player on centos 5.3 desktop machine
Hi,
I'm having trouble getting the flash player installed onto my centos desktop.
When i go to the adobe site, I click on the YUM for Linux version, then install it, and PC says "/tmp/adobe-release-i386-1.0-1.noarch-1.rpm is already installed" - but it's not working.
So then tried downloading the .tar.gz for linux version, and PC asks me which program to open to

Need info on adobe flash player plugin 32 for CentOS7
Hello all--
I kept getting messages that my old Flash Player 31 was obsolete so I
went in search of an update.
I came across several references for getting flash plugin 32 that
basically were the same as this page --
https://www.if-not-true-then-false.com/2010/install-adobe-flash-player-10-on-fedora-centos-red-hat-rhel/
However, it seems the site --

Installing Adobe Flash CS4- Wine 1.1.23
I am using Vector Linux (Slackware based I think). I tried to install Adobe Flash CS4 Professional; the installer starts, but when it gets to "Checking system profile..." the installer gives gives me an error and closes.
Heres a link to a text file with the... output that I got from the terminal.

How to re-enable Adobe Flash in Firefox
Mozilla seems to have disabled Adobe Flash in a recent update.
I have one 6.3 Desktop load that I need flash. when directed to the
Adobe site and download the latest version, yum tells me I have the
latest version for x86_64 already installed.
I must keep the wife happy with Facebook and YouTube--and if the wife
isn't happy, no one in the house is happy.
How do I re-enable flash?

from Adobe Flex / Flash Player 10 .flv Speex via Red5 to .wav PCM?
I am having trouble converting a .flv file uploaded from Adobe Flex /
Flash Player 10 to a Red5 server using the speex coder:
http://livedocs.adobe.com/flex/3/langref/flash/media/Microphone.html
http://jira.red5.org/confluence/display/codecs/Speex+Codec
Questions:
1. How do I extract the audio track out of such a .flv file?
2. How do I convert it from Speex to .wav PCM?
Thanks.

Flash plugin not working
Hi,
I have a fresh install of CentOS 5.5, with a minimal GNOME desktop. I
configured RPMForge as third party repo.
I updated everything first, then installed flash-plugin. (And yes, I
restarted Firefox... :oD). All I see when I try to see some things Flash
on the Internet, like Youtube or the likes, I get... nothing. The space
remains white. Sometimes a black square will appear, sometimes it

flash-plugin-9.0.124.0-1 having problems since firefox-3.0.7-3.el4.centos
Updated yesterday to the latest firefox from CentOS, and now RPMforge
flash-plugin will only play a few seconds of video (such as CNN,
iReport, etc.) at a time before becoming stuck; dragging the slider
back a little allows it to play a bit further, but then it stops
again. YouTube plays the video without sticking, but has no sound.

Problems with Adobe flash-plugin and Firefox-3.5.x under CentOs-5.3 (yum up to date)
Hi,
I am running 32-bit Firefox-3.5.3 on Centos-5.3 (64-bit kernel) on a Dell Precision M65 laptop. This is likely a Adobe problem, but maybe someone else has seen this before. Please CC me, as I only receive the digest version of the list.
When using the 10.0.32.18-release version of the flash-plugin, trying
to access *any* page containing flash (e.g. www.adobe.com) causes the

I hope someone can help me with this one. I am looking for a decent

(http://www.adobe.com/products/flashmediaserver/) is very expensive
and not within any reasonable cost range (R40K+).

Firefox and Flash
Hi,
I have CentOS 5.1 with the latest updates running on all my desktops.
Firefox has the flash-plugin from RPMForge installed, and I think this
is the cause that it crashes quite often.
Is there a more stable Flash plugin somewhere? I had a similar problem
on Slackware 12.0 with the "stable" plugin from Adobe. I replaced that
with the "development" version from
