similar to: How to compile WINE with ALSA support

Im running openSUSE 11.1. Just wondering if it's possible to use pulseaudio with ALSA, ALSA driver doesn't shop up in the audio section of winecfg.

I upgraded to karmic yesterday, and ran winecfg. The list of possible sound systems has shrunk to three: oss, jack and eSound. I tried running winecfg plain, and with padsp and pasuspender prefixes. Susan

So I used to use the winepulse patch for wine. (Yes I like pulse). But since 1.3.25+ uses mmdevapi for audio, that patch no longer works. That author points to a wine multimedia git, however, after installing that I have no more sound in any wine application, and the winecfg test audio says audio failed. Alsa audio started working a couple of days ago with wine and then stopped working yesterday. Here is my experience. Pulseaudio cannot be removed any more. So I reinstalled the system and left it there. I compiled wine git and installed, and then installed DNS 10. Pre wine version 1.2.26 sound worked fine in lotro and the in game audio options page showed the sound card in a dropdown box and titles for all of the sound option slide bars. Greetings, I've used wine for several years now, but I've never really gotten involved with development so I'm not sure how or even where this would need to go. I've found a regression in the latest (as of 1-1-09) git of wine; alsa sound doesn't appear to work. It did work from a version of wine I had cloned from git about a week earlier. It also works fine in 1.1.11 release.

Hi, I cannot get wine to recognize my audio device (Nvidia GT210 w/HDMI). No other sound card is enabled. The right device for sound is hw:0,3. Alsa's speakertest works fine. Sound works i get 130 fps alls good except for the microphone. Pulseaudio is killed and everything else is done as suppose to. Im using a usb headset and when I checked the win alsa driver i saw for the wave in the there was AD198x Analog and usb Audio.
