Always when I try to run any program protected by SecuRom I get this message: Code: A required security module cannot be activated. This program cannot be executed (7000). Please have a look at http://www.securom.com/message.asp?m=module&c=7000 for further, more detailed information. I've read SecuRom works in Wine, so why doesn't it work for me?

Greetings, during installation of Oblivion - Game of the Year Edition GOTY in German on wine-1.3.21 the installation asks for inserting Disc 0 with the file data3.cab. Well, there is no such data3.cab on the DVD. Workaround for me was booting to WinXP, installing Oblivion there, booting to Gentoo, mounting the WinXP partition and copying the directory Oblivion to a suitable place in ~/.wine.

Hi guys question: In many games there is still need for a no cd Patch/Crack. How is the status of fixing those. I have made the daring (and possibly idiotic) decision to play BCR on my laptop instead of my desktop computer, as my desktop is single core and therefore runs the game rather sluggishly while my laptop is dual-core. The only problem with this is that my laptop runs Linux. Does anyone knwo what I might have to tweak in order to get it to run? Will I have to disable SecuROM?

Hi! I received Far Cry 2 to try it and i tested it under wine 1.1.7 The install works, but securom not (a bug has already been filled in), and the game starts with a crack! I had to add some dll's and disable dxgi, but that's not a huge problem. When launching single player, it works and i am ~ 8 seconds ingame, but then it shutds down...
