Call for short reviews of Steam or SC2
I'm looking for a couple of reviews to include in an up coming WWN issue. Submissions may be edited and republished and I'll only be considering comments attached to a real name.
Steam experiences. Please comment on your opinion of Wines support, a short summary of any issues you have, and things you find work well/you love, and what you use Steam for.

NPIV storage pools do not map to same LUN units across hosts.
Link: http://wiki.libvirt.org/page/NPIV_in_libvirt
Topic: Virtual machine configuration change to use vHBA LUN
There is a NPIV storage pool defined on two hosts and pool contains a
total of 8 volumes, allocated from a storage device.

Setting up a lustre zfs dual mgs/mdt over tcp - help requested
Hi all,
Here is the situation:
I have 2 nodes MDS1 , MDS2 (10.0.0.22 , 10.0.0.23) I wish to use as
failover MGS, active/active MDT with zfs.
I have a jbod shelf with 12 disks, seen by both nodes as das (the
shelf has 2 sas ports, connected to a sas hba on each node), and I
am using lustre 2.4 on centos 6.4 x64
I have created 3 zfs pools:

libvirt does not recognize all devices in iscsi and mpath pools in a predictable manner
Hi,
I'm using libvirt 0.8.3 on Fedora 14 (as I wrote earlier, I'm having some
trouble updating to the newest version), and I'm having problems getting iscsi
and mpath storage pools to work in a usable and consistent manner.
I have two storage pools defined on the host machine, one for raw iscsi-
devices and one for those same iscsi devices device-mapped by multipath. They

Problems with CentOS 8 kickstart
Hi All,
I am having problems with a kickstart install of CentOS 8
When I try to do a completely automated install using PXE/UEFI it get to the point where it reads the kickstart config file.
Then I see the following message
"kickstart install Started cancel waiting for multipath siblings for nvme0n1"
This is what I have in the kickstart file

Error Attaching Seventh VirtIO-SCSI Device to Guest
I have run into a problem attempting to attach the seventh virtio-scsi device to a RHEL 6.4 Guest from a RHEL 6.4 host running libvirt version 0.10.2-18.
I have a guest that is running RHEL6.4 where I can attach disks sda(boot), sdb, sdc, sdd, sde and sdf but when I try to attach sdg the virsh attach-disk command fails with the error:
error: Failed to attach disk

Randomly Dropping Audio / CTD
Now that 1.2 is out, will the issue of randomly dropping audio finally be addressed? Personally, I'm ignoring the stable series until this problem is identified and fixed. I understand that someone is working of revamping OpenAL support in WINE so when will users likely see the fruit of this revamp? This issue of randomly dropping audio with the application then CTD is extremely important.

the naming convention libvirt names a block based storage volume
Seems like different libvirt versions generate a storage volume name in
different format. We would like to learn how libvirt names a storage
volume under a block based storage pool. So that we may properly extract
the LUN identifier out of the volume name for now and in the future.
On host A loaded with libvirt 0.8.7

NPIV + KVM
Is this possible:
I would like to have a VM use a FC LUN exported to a virtual wwn (using
NPIV) as its primary disk.
I was thinking there might be a mechanism to say VM, boot using a LUN
with this vwwn as your primary disk?
Thanks in advance.

[RFC] pv-scsi driver (scsiback/scsifront)
Hi all.
We developped a pv-scsi driver that we refered Fujita-san''s scsi-driver
and blkback.
(see, http://www.xensource.com/files/xensummit_4/Xen_Summit_8_Matsumoto.pdf)
The pv-scsi driver''s feature is as follow:
* Guest has dedicated SCSI-HBAs of Dom0.
* Guest can send scsi_cdb to the HBAs.
* Guest recognises the HBAs from hostno of xenstore.

Libvirt with multipath devices and/or FC on NPIV
Hello,
I am trying to find out a best practice for a specific scenario.
First of all I would like to know what is the proper way to set up
multipath, who should care about it the host or the guest. Right now I have
a setup where I have one multipath which sets my host to boot from FC SAN. I
have another multipathed LUN in the host which is essentially a dm which I
attached to a guest, however

Why not pulseaudio?
Pulseaudio works great in wine using the modified wine from the Neill Aldur ppa. Tried everything else (padsp, pasuspender, blah) and nothing would work reliably. Some crashes when another application outputs sound, sometimes the sound does not work at all, sometimes it is awfully slow or with latency varying while recording, leading to unpredictable offsets in recorded files.

Wine hangs when creating initial configuration
Hi, I'm using Debian Squeeze and never had a problem with Wine (aside from application related stuff). I just updated from 1.1.37 to 1.1.44 and when running wincfg a dialog appears showing "The Wine configuration in ~/.wine is being updated, please
wait..." and hangs. When running it from the shell I get the following:

[PATCH] vhost: scsi: constify target_core_fabric_ops structures
Declare target_core_fabric_ops strucrues as const as they are only
passed as an argument to the functions target_register_template and
target_unregister_template. The arguments are of type const struct
target_core_fabric_ops *, so target_core_fabric_ops structures having
this property can be declared const.

FiberChannel, and EMC tutorial?
Hi all,
Can anyone explain to me, or point me to any docs that explain how the
following numbers map together?
I have multiple LUNS exported to my HBA''s from multiple EMC arrays.
zpool status, and /dev/dsk show device names like:
