New winetricks 20110402: New verbs acreedbro, bttf101, cim_demo, crysis2, trainztcc_2004, trine_steam, trine_demo_steam, utorrent3, xact_jun2010
Another fortnight, another Winetricks.
This one has a heap of bug fixes (e.g. works again in kde,
don't think glsl=disabled means disabling glsl.dll,
don't expolode if a wineprefix has single quotes in the name),
and the following new verbs:

Weird problem - can play game only as root
Hi,
i'm trying to run a game within wine using a 32bit chroot. Ago two days
it was working fine, then i did something (I don't exactly remember
what i did as i was doing a lot of stuff, like updating the box etc) and
the game is not working anymore as "user".

Missing textures with some games. Advice?
Hi, i was wondering if someone could advise on this:
I have an acer aspire 5740G with ati mobility radeon hd5650 and i just installed wine 3 days ago, so it's pretty recent. I trying to run some few games: C&C 3 tiberium wars, need for speed most wanted and bully scholarship edition.
In c&c 3 game started well, then i go to play and i can't see no units. I can select them but

No sound in HOMEFRONT
I just installed Homefront. The installation went fine. I looked up AppDB entry on it and it looks like the other person rated it silver (albeit he's running Mac OS), with some annoying mouse bug. He did winetricks directx9 directsound physx. I did nothing of those and it still worked.
Anyway, when I run the game, there's no music/sound in the menu. Then I started a new campaign, and the

Jade Dynasty graphics "glow" problem
I'm trying to get Jade Dynasty to work properly with Wine. Most of the bugs I've fixed or are to minor to worry about. There is one problem I can't seem to fix.
Glows on weapons are bright white from most camera angles. It appears the glows are reflecting something, but I don't know what. Certain monsters glow white as well. The bug does not happen on the character select screen

Unhandled exception launching games from Steam
So after years of running a 'pure' Linux machine, I finally decided to install Wine so I could play some of my old games - and it's been a disaster. Using either Wine 1.5.3 or 1.3.3 trying to launch Half-Life Source results in nothing happening, trying to launch from the commandline gives this stack trace:

systemd unit files for NSD launch in chroot?
Hi,
I'm starting to migrate a number of authoritative nameservers on small
VMs from bind9 to NSD.
At the same time, I'm switching all inits from sysvinit to systemd.
Cribbing systemd unit files from Fedora for NSD
(http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/cgit/nsd.git/tree/), they're
straightforward enough -- but seem to ignore proper chroot
setup/startup.
I've poked in current NSD 3x

Star Wars Empire at War opens blank text box instead of game
After installation of Star Wars Empire at War and it's Expansion with the latest version of Wine, the game will not start up. I click on the icon and a blank text box shows up instead of the start of the game.
I have the latest versions of Wine, Ubuntu and I just got winetricks.
I have tried changing the Library with all of the items there.
I have tried adding the .exe to Applications,

New winetricks-alpha 20110306: new game Crysis 2 Demo and seven others, new dll dinput, lots of bug fixes; ie8 now works
Another fortnight, another Winetricks.
Version 20110306-alpha has a slightly cleaned up gui,
a handful of bugfixes and sha1sum updates,
eight new games (crysis2_demo_mp, diablo2, dragonage,
masseffect2_demo, penpenxmas, rayman2_demo, sammax301_demo, and secondlife),
one new dll (dinput),
and one new setting (vd=640x480).
It removes ie68, which is no longer needed, now that ie8 works.
It isolates

Aion f2p - freezes on certain objects
I just installed Gameforges's free 2 play version of Aion with:

Game very slow (neverwinter Nights 2 + Expansion)
After 1 day of work i finally got NWN2 working.
The game starts, and everything seems to work.
(even the Securom copyright protection).
But in the game I have a big problem: the FPS are around 0.5. :(
I have tried some things, but I'm am not experienced enough with wine,
to fix this issue.
(Others have 30 FPS with similar hardware)
The things I have done:

I got this error when configured imapc proxy (http://wiki2.dovecot.org/HowTo/ImapcProxy) and moved indexes to memory (mail_location = imapc:~/imapc:INDEX=MEMORY), with indexes on disk this error does not occurred.
