I have weight(wt), hind foot lenghts(pes) as continues variables and origin and gender as categorial. condition is just the residuals i took from the model. > names(dat1) [1] "wt" "pes" "origin" "gender"

which() does not handle NAs in named vectors. (PR#226)

vector of NA indices
I have a vector Pes with 600 elements some of which are NA's. How can I form a vector of the indices of the NA's. for(i in 1:600) if(is.na(Pes[i])) print(i) prints the indices of the NA's but I can't figure out how to put the results in a vector. Classic fail-safe N
Hi all, I was conducting a meta-analysis of single proportions(i.e. without a control group) using the metafor package. When I performed a classic fail-safe N, I noticed that the result (the number of missing studies that would bring p-value to the alpha, to be exact)was different than that I got in Comprehensive Meta-Analysis Version 2.0. I wonder why R and CMA got different results. *Below is

Cannot find Wine Config anymore...
I'm using Ubuntu 10.04. I had been using Wine 1.2.x out of the Ubuntu repos. Wine Config & unistall manager were working fine. Today I unistalled that and added the Wine ubuntu repository. Then I installed Wine 1.3. But Wine no longer has Winecfg or uninstall manager. Why? How could I get them? :?

Uninstalling Wine
I am going to try winex, but I have wine installed currently. First off, do I need to unistall wine, or should I? And how do I go about it, if yes? Thanks. Ian. upgraging R from 2.9.0 to 2.9.1
I am still running 2.9.0 and came across a package that was built with 2.9.1. I got a warning upon loading the package. I tried to launch a function from such a package. It seems to hang up. I can't believe it takes forever. I am resolved to upgrade my R version to the newest one. But on a Windows box I do not know how to unistall the current version in advance of installing the new one. What is the difference between xinput and direct input ? There's some optional regedit dinput option :

How to remove dangling menu items
I tried to test Wine for the first time, installing the only application that I already had an executable for, an old version of Seamonkey web browser. It installed ok, but when uninstalled, through wine, had some issues...first the unistall option did not appear in wine, but fixed that. Finally, when uninstalled Seamonkey, it left a second wine menu item in Gnome Applications menu. I have
