Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy
Ok so I used to play this game a lot on my old pc and want to play it again. Awesomely its now freeware but anyway. I downloaded the file and then put it in a folder named PsiOps in my desktop, navigated to the folder in Terminal and then tried using wine to run the .exe. The error message "so and so.exe has encountered a serious problem and needs to close" This is what was in the

Problem with text entry fields (Mac OS X Snow leopard)
I use Wine for the windows programs I created with Clarion (Topspeed) environment. After upgrade from Mac OS X Tiger to Snow Leopard, I can't input any text in entry fields, using English keyboard layout. When I type something, I hear the beep sound, no letters appers on the screen. I even can't paste latin letters text using shortcuts, and the context dropdown menu doesn't appear

Using the Cider approach with Wine
Hi there, I'm extremely new to Wine, at least from this side of things (I've used CrossOver and Cider). I gather that installing Wine sets up a "central" mock-Windows installation in the home folder, and I'm much more interested in building a tweaked wrapper to enclose a specific game in a .app package, the way Cider does it. Is that something that is being done by others?

How to fix Baldur's Gate 2 in CIDER so it doesn't crash?
Hey! Hello, WineHQ. Signed up because I've hit the limits of my ability with CIDER. I'm using the CIDER version of Baldur's Gate 2 on my Macbook 10.5.8 and I've gotten the game to run fine in Single Player. Unfortunately, I'm unable to run it in multiplayer mode which is a favorite of mine. Normally one can run a multiplayer TCP/IP game in BG2 so they can import/export

[LLVMdev] Segmentation fault 'cause of accessing function arguments
Hi all, I am experimenting to run a pass inherited from CallGraphSCCPass. In the pass, I iterate all functions in a SCC. In each iteration, I access all arguments of a function in the following way: Function::arg_iterator PI = fun->arg_begin(), PE = fun->arg_end(); ... I have no trouble with building. However, I am troubled with "segmentation fault" when I run the pass

Mouse wrap problem with Mass Effect on Mac (wine 1.3.23)
I used Wineskin to wrap Mass Effect (1). Wineskin helps me a lot with finding working and non-working versions of Wine and has worked very well for me in the past. With versions later than 1.3.23, (26, 27, 28 ) the game freezes after character creation. So I used 1.3.23. the problem is (still) that the mouse doesn't wrap in-game. This makes the game almost unplayable in combat sequences,

MacOSX 10.4.11 update breaks tests/lapack.R (R 2.6.0)? (PR#10454)
Hello, It seems the recent Mac OS X 10.4.11 update installed a new libBLAS.dylib in the Accelerate framework which either contains a bug itself or exposes a bug somewhere in R's lapack code on the PowerPC G4 and G5. My build of R 2.6.0 executed the tests/lapack.R code succesfully when I upgraded when 2.6.0 was released. After the OS update, it now crashes. This happens both with the version I
