Quicken - Registration wants Internet Explorer
Hi,
I'm running Quicken 2001 Deluxe successfully under current CVS. The
only issue I have is that every time I go to download stock quotes
online, Quicken wants me to register the product, and to do this
attempts to open Internet Explorer. It can't find IE, so it just sits
there waiting. I eventually close the window, get a warning message from
Quick, and then proceed to download

Quicken 2008 Registration
I'm pretty dependent on Quicken. (widoze) I have a new install of Wine 1.1.14. Installed IE6 because Quicken would not work with built-in IExplorer. Program works pretty good. Many features require that the program be registered.
I run Quicken then select On-line Registration from the Help Menu:
blair at exercise:~$ wine c:\\"Program Files"\\Quicken\\qw.exe

Missing Tab Text in Quicken Deluxe 2009?
I just installed Quicken Deluxe 2009 using (I believe) Wine 1.1.14 (it reports 1.0.1 as mentioned in a different forum post). The installation went fine and it seems to run, but the tabs should have text on them that isn't showing. Any thoughts as to what I might be able to do to solve this issue?
Thanks,
Craig

quicken 2008 deluxe Release9 running on Ubuntu
I was able to install the application and run it upto the point that one either creates accounts or loads a previously created data file (in windows). At that point, the entire application disappears and one is back to the Ubuntu desktop.

Funky Font problems with Quicken 2010
I am using wine 1.3.16 on Mac OX 10.6.7, built and installed using osxwinebuilder. I am using it to run Quicken 2010. Quicken installed and runs fine with one exception: One of the fonts used in Quicken is rendered very poorly. Here is an example:

Searching for this problem led me to a number of posts that suggested using winecfg to set the

Quicken fonts
I just installed Quicken 2001 using the 0914 version of Wine built from
source code on my Fedora Core 2 machine. I followed the Quicken install
instruction #2 on Franks Corner site. The installation went fine and
everything seems to work well. But some of the fonts are unreadable.
Here is a screen shot of what I am referring to (the problem fonts are
circled):

Quicken 2 for Windows
Hi,
I am new to Linux (Fedora 11) and Wine (1.1.18) and am trying to eliminate going back to windows to run certain applications. Please forgive any transgressions in this post as I assure you they are unintentional. By the way, Wine (1.1.23) causes Quicken to crash on start up. Wine (1.1.18) works just fine.
I have spent a couple of weeks trying to figure out what is going on. There are

H&R Block Tax cut with wine
I purchased H&R Block Tax cut Deluxe to do my 2004 taxes.
I decided to give The Feb 2005 version of Wine under Fedora 1 a try
before rebooting my machine to Windows and actually starting to work on my
taxes.
Wine seemed to install Tax Cut with out any problems.
However, when I tried to start Tax Cut 2004 , it complained that Mozilla did
not have an
active X Browser and offered to go on

Quicken 2011 Starter Edition, installs, crashes when run
I have a legal version of Quicken 2011 Starter Edition, and I am trying to install it using Wine on my up to date Linux Mint install (Mint 10 "Julia" based on Ubuntu Maverick)
I have tried this a couple of ways: using Wine from the default repos (1.2.10 I think?) as well as wine from the WineHQ site (1.3.11)
I have tried this install method:

Re: Wine and Quicken
Will give it a try. However the winetricks did allow that part of the program to run. It now freezes at the point you try to register the program. It would not respect the wine internet explorer, so i used winetricks to do the fake, then to actually install ie6. Ie6 is missing the menu bar. It also does not repond properly to Quicken's attempt to register the program. Without being able

Possible bug - Quicken 2001 Deluxe
Hi,
As per Tony's suggestion, I looked around in http://bugs.winehq.com
for this one and didn't find it. Since it would be my first bug report,
would someone be willing to see if this is in there and I missed it?
The bug looks like this:
1) Wine only installation using Wine 20021125 from CVS
2) Quicken 2001 Deluxe
Bug: Password Dialog Box not visible - Quicken allows a password

I looked at the App Database, and tried to follow the instructions for Quicken2010, which clearly states that the account update was tested.
I know this is a newbe question, but Step three is mixing me up

Does this refer to the Quicken installer.exe? if so why do we repeat this step at the end, and if not what does it refer to?
Thus far my only issue is that Quicken 2010

I have been a Quicken user for many years but my upgrade to Mac Lion has ruined that good experience. It seems you do not care about Apple users.

Wine and Quicken
Hello,
I am running Ubuntu 8.04. off of an external HD. in the File Browser, Ubuntu sees the internal HD, and I can navigate to the Quicken executable. I installed wine and went into Configure it and clicked Add Application. I can see the Program Files folder, but when I go into it, all I can see is the Common Files and Internet Explorer folders. Why can't I see executables? How can I try

When I try to backup I get the following message:
Your backup disk is out of space.
Insert a different disk and press OK.
The problem is this I backup to drive c: (/home/samac/.wine/fake_windows/)
My home directory partition is only showing 8% usage.

0.9.49's libwine "fix" broke my "system wide install" kludge...
Short version: I'd like help in configuring the registry as described in Section 3.2.4 to allow for system wide installs. 0.9.49's libwine 'fix' plugged a security hole I was happily using to achieve the same effective result.
Thanks!
Eric
