anyone got a PS3 with Linux installed, that can test building wine (or provide ssh access?)
I've tried compiling on PPC under QEMU, but it's dog slow (80 minutes
for configure)...
Got one and interested? PM/e-mail me.

[LLVMdev] Basic question- cross compiling LLVM
This is probably another very basic question- but is there a simple method for cross compiling LLVM for another platform?
Thanks in advance.

PS3
I have been planing on installing a Linux OS on my ps3 for some time and I came across a site that said that wine would allow me to play PC games on it. If this is true what OS would be best and other stuff like that.

Guidance on cross compiling LLVM with mingw-w64 and cmake
I need to build libLLVM (individual static libraries are fine at the
moment) using mingw-w64 cross compilers, i686-w64-mingw32-gcc and
(separately) x86_64-w64-mingw32-gcc. I'd like this to work from both
Linux and Cygwin build environments. With autotools, this worked fine:
../configure --host=i686-w64-mingw32 and that's it (with mingw32-gcc-c++
installed on Fedora 23, also works fine on

[LLVMdev] Using LLVM as a crosscompiler
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
Hi,
After hearing Chris' talk at bossaconference I wanted to see if I could use LLVM (and/or
llvm-gcc) as a crosscompiler for ARM. The documentation beautifully outlines how to build
it for your host and how to crosscompile it, but not how to build it as a cross-compiler.
So my question is: How should I build llvm and llvm-gcc4 to have it

[LLVMdev] Trying to compile llvm-gcc to mips
Hello, I'm trying to compile llvm-gcc to crosscompile mips. I have already
modified a config.gcc to add mips as a target with llvm, but it gives me
"Did not get a target machine!" (from llvm-backend.cpp).
I thought that I had to modify TargetMachOWriterInfo.h with MIPS info, but
now the problem is that I don't know where can I get the <mach/machine.h> (I
don't have it

LLVM cross-compilation cmake issues
I'm an idiot and sent to llvm-commits instead of llvm-dev. Fixing.

Status of Wine64 on OSX?
Hi,
I know Wine64 is still experimental, and I've read threads from last Summer stating that Wine64 won't build nor run on OSX at this time.
However, Wine64 would be really useful for me on OSX, because I build small simple apps for both win32 and win64 mode, and being able to crosscompile and run them from OSX would be a great time saver for me.
So, what's the status of Wine64 on

Cross Compilation Problem
Hi Peter
I guess this is the document written by you
https://fosdem.org/2018/schedule/event/crosscompile/attachments/slides/2107/export/events/attachments/crosscompile/slides/2107/How_to_cross_compile_with_LLVM_based_tools.pdf
I follow it to try to use the clang to do cross compilation. Actually, my
target binaries is SPECCPU2006 and autotools based binaries.
However, I failed on the first

[LLVMdev] Trying to compile llvm-gcc to mips
Hi, well, I downloaded the head revision of llvm and llvm-gcc. As you said
it hangs at:
Formal argument #0 has unhandled type f32
/home/julio/trunk/llvm-gcc/gcc/libgcc2.c:1765: internal compiler error:

Please submit a full bug report,
with preprocessed source if appropriate.
Actually, I don't need fp, there is any way to disable?
By the way, I'm working with a MIPS coprocessor

[LLVMdev] About LLVM 3.1 ARM testing
Hi all,
Since the 3.1 testing day is coming and be a ARM tester, I would like to make
sure everything is O.K. so that we don't waste the precious time. As discussed
on the ML before, I plan to cross compile LLVM/Clang first, then run regression
test and test suite on the pandaboards. Could someone help me check to see if I
miss something? Thanks!
Here is the pandaboard configuration,

[PATCH] [CMAKE] Allow a toolchain file for the host when cross-compiling
The current behavior is to not specify any toolchain and invoke CMake
without additional arguments for configuring the NATIVE portion of the
build. However, CMake will actually set the CC, CXX, and FC
environment variables to full paths of the compilers in the
CMAKE_{C,CXX,Fortran}_COMPILER CMake variables inside the CMake process.
This results in those variables being propagated to any

Error crosscompiling
Hi,
I was trying to crosscompile dovecot, but I got some error:
--with-notify=inotify
don't work, as it try to run a test program to verify if inotify is
supported in the building platform. Solved with --with-notify=dnotify. Ihmo,
is more a hack than a solution.

[LLVMdev] CROSS COMPILING LLVM
I've committed my scripts that simplify building Linux/x86 -> Linux/ARM
crosstool. There are 2 parts to using this:
* llvm/utils/crosstool/create-snapshots.sh
creates tarballs for LLVM and LLVM-GCC from HEAD SVN or a specific
revision of your choice
* llvm/utils/crosstool/ARM/build-install-linux.sh
builds and installs a Linux/x86 -> Linux/ARM crosstool using the snapshots

Guidance on cross compiling LLVM with mingw-w64 and cmake
The CrossCompile module is in a perpetual state of "when I get a chance...", and desperately needs some cleanup.
The problem you are hitting is caused by setting CMAKE_SYSTEM_NAME. When you set that CMake sets a variable CMAKE_CROSS_COMPILING. That variable should only be set when your host OS doesn't match your target OS. Since LLVM needs to build host-capable tools there is some

[LLVMdev] llvm-gcc as Alpha cross compiler
Hi,
I wonder if anyone has been able to successfully build llvm-gcc as an Alpha
cross compiler?
I have tried many different combinations of flags and gcc compiler, but have
not been able to build successfully. Currently, this is the command that I
used to build on Ubuntu 10.10:
../llvm-gcc-4.2-2.8.source/configure
--enable-llvm=/home/ghoang/research/llvm/llvm-objects
--enable-languages=c,c++

CentOS 5.1 on PS3
Hi All,
Does anyone here on the list have CentOS 5.1 running on a PS3? I would
like to look at integrating a couple of PS3 nodes into our cluster for
it's ability to use the Cell processor inside and was wondering if
anyone had any experiences.
