Closing sf.net issue tracker
As part of the ongoing move of FLAC's project hosting from
sourceforge.net to xiph.org, we're planning to remove the issue tracker
there. Erik doesn't check it, so issues filed there are just rotting,
and that's a poor experience.
We don't have a decent alternative at xiph.org at the moment. We've
variously discussed setting up a bugzilla instance or using github. In

Speaking of which... the attched patch fixes building when UNICODE
preprocessor macro is defined (it's explained here:

nasm.h issues (sf.net bug #400)
Despite being documented as the place for submitting bug reports and
patches, it seems like the sf.net bug tracker isn't get much attention,
so here it is: http://sourceforge.net/p/flac/bugs/400/
During x86-windows builds using mingw or mingw-w64, nasm complains:

Shorewall FAQ Wiki Online, nearly complete...
Hello,
Mike Noyes and myself have populated http://wiki.rettc.com with the
shorewall FAQ.
This wiki is running MediaWiki, http://www.mediawiki.org.
Currently, a couple items are not complete.
I have just begun a heavy semester of mathematics/physics studies, and
do not have much time to give to this.
But, it is online, and seems to be stable. I will keep an eye out for
abuse, and limit

sf bug 136
User reported in 2005:
I have recently upgraded to FLAC 1.1.1a and Winamp 5.06
and have noticed a bug in the winamp plugin. When using
the "Scroll Title in windows taskbar" option in Winamp
the title flickers in the taskbar and does not scroll.
If I revert
back to the Winamp plugin from 1.1.0 it works fine. To
find this option in Winamp goto:

Effect.BlindDown height clipping bug
There seems to be a bug with the queueing of the BlindDown effect.
I have built a test page that highlights the problem here.
http://dev.lunny.com/test/blindclipping.php
When using queueing with a BlindUP/BlindDown combination, the
BlindDown gets its height of the final state from the current height
of the element when the effect is called. This causes the finish
height of the blind down

possible bug using -q -m -M combination?
Hello,
I've used oggenc with these options before:
$ oggenc -q3.0 -m 96 -M 225 somemusic.wav
But it's now encoding everything at 1.0kbps. The compression is *awesome*
but the found quality is somewhat lacking. Has something changed
recently, or am on crack (again)?
Cheers,
Geoff
Ps. I put the above example in the ifp-driver mailing list FAQ.. but now
I don't look so smart..

Memory oversubscription
Hi. First of all, thanks for Xen. It''s terrific!
I''m interested in doing memory oversubscription and am wondering if Xen
can do this (now or in the future).
For example, on a machine with 100MB available physical memory, can I:
1. Create a domain with a 90MB allocation
2. Inflate a balloon in that domain and return say 40MB back to Xen
I know there are mechanisms for doing

Kernel panic while compiling kernel
I know you Xen developers are beginning to hate me ;) but...
While trying to compile 2.4.24 under DOM0, quickly after issuing ''make dep'' I
got:
Kernel panic: Failed mmu update: c015bf80, 4
I suspect this address probably isn''t to helpful but this is all I have. I am
currently booted in 2.4.21-SuSE and compiling the 2.4.24 regarding another

Opinion on Attended transfer in features.conf
Hi,
In 1.6.1, it seems Attended Transfer do not behave exactly behave like Blind
Transfer when transferer hangs up before callee answers :
- in Blind Transfer, caller (ie transferee) is hearing Ringing tone when
callee's phone is ringing
- in Attended Transfer, caller (ie transferee) is hearing Music On Hold when
callee's phone is ringing
- in Attended Transfer, if callee don't answer
