Flickr Uploader Unable to Read From SD Card
Hi, recently my installation of Flickr Uploader (v2.5) has stopped being able to read JPGs from the SD card. I can still browse and select the file, and I can still open the files in other applications (ie, I am pretty sure it's not a permissions issue), but Flickr Uploader reports that the file is not in a supported format. However, if I copy the file to my hard drive the Uploader opens it

[PATCH net-next V2] virtio-net: don't do header check for dodgy gso packets
There's no need to do header check for virtio-net since: - Host sets dodgy for all gso packets from guest and check the header. - Host should be prepared for all kinds of evil packets from guest, since malicious guest can send any kinds of packet. So this patch sets NETIF_F_GSO_ROBUST for virtio-net to skip the check. Cc: Rusty Russell <rusty at rustcorp.com.au> Cc: Michael S.

Digium X100P vs Dodgy Ebay X100P
Hi I thought this might be of general interest. Recently I purchased an X100P from a Digium reseller in the UK. Very pleased with the card; works perfectly. My friend (known for his deep pockets and short arms) purchased an X100P card from Ebay. He's had no end of problems with line noise, dropped called etc so I thought I would compare the two cards. Plus mine was delivered within two

[PATCH 1/2] lguest: handle dodgy/non-existent TSC. Host code.
Lguest currently requires a TSC, which breaks older machines and Matt Mackall who boots the host with "notsc". In addition, there is no good solution to changing TSC speeds (informing all the guests about the TSC impending change before it happens would be a great deal of code and have issues with disobedient guests). This patch makes the host determine if the TSC is both constant and

CentOS-4 i386 errata: Configuration change for
centos-yumconf has been updated to include (but disable) all optional centos repositories. This would allow a user to update / install from an optional repository without needing to modify the configuration files. Example: If you wanted to install a package named foo from the optional repositry named centosplus, you would use the following command: yum --enablerepo=centosplus install foo see

I need some help, my partner and I have hired an app development company to create an iPhone app that allows shops to list their inventory and advertise their specials, there is also a back end admin website that shop owners can login to that allows them to update their inventory and specials. The admin website communicates directly with the iPhone app so that any changes made are shown on

Image viewer refuses to print TIF graphics
I'm not sure if it's just the TIFs or if that related at all, since I have had some luck in printing these before, but recently the image viewer (eog - the Eye of GNOME, v 2.16.0.1) has responded to a print command on certain TIFs with nothing. Nothing shows up in the spool queue for the printer, and, although the printer (a Brother 2140 laser printer) heats up, it doesn't print

Installation woes for rattle (and other packages)
Yesterday I wanted to try rattle on Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty. I had (and still have) it running (though it complains on startup a bit -- I'll look into that later) on a different bootup on the same machine with 8.04 Hardy. I got an error that libglade cannot be found, and various attempts to get glade support failed. I removed and reinstalled R -- same problem. To avoid the issue of local setup
