Wine and Crossover
Hey, I am new here but I wanted to know what code differences are there in crossover wine and opensource wine. I know the crossover uses wineloader to load programs and in opensource wine it uses mwine. So there must be some code difference.
Any help is appreciated
Thnx

CentOS Mirrored On RapidShare [Links Here]
Hey List,
Firstly I am sorry for the length of this email and that you are all
having too receive it but the point is that this email will now go
into the archive and be indexed by Google (hopefully) and thusly,
people will be able to find these links through Google. My goal is to
mirror CentOS on RapidShare. "Why you fool there are loads of
mirrors?" you might ask; simply for

Redistributing CentOS
Hey Listees,
Just a quick question. I hope this isn't received incorrectly by
everyone as I do mean the best for the CentOS project;
I am wondering if it would be frowned upon to upload CentOS to my
RapidShare account. I understand I can freely distribute CentOS but to
what extent? In its simplest form I only really want to upload CentOS
5.2 to my RapidShare account for speed.
I had to

AEC strangest behavior
Hello.
I have the following situation. AEC is used in network chat software
over DirectSound API. Echo and reference signals are almost aligned
(delay is no more than 30ms). When echo is emulated in notebook
(built-in speakers + mic) everything goes fine and echo is cancelled.
But when configuration includes stand-alone speakers and mic no echo is
removed. Audio is in 22050 hz at 16 bit

Hosting Music for Free
I would like to be able to host music not by myself for free. The only
problem is, I can't find a place that will do it. When I want to share a
song with a forum, I am currently forced to use RapidShare, MegaUpload, or
UploadingIt, all of which causes problems for somebody. I would like to be
able to host a song, have a link to click on it, and it doesn't have to be
downloaded and cause

Wine 1.0.1 (Ubu 9.04) + Dan Elwell's Broadband Speedtest = Error 13 : Type Mismatch.
Hi,
sorry if this is a repost, but may be that GMANE didn't pick up the original
article yet (sent yesterday).
I wanted to try to start the http://www.broadbandspeedtest.net program under
Wine 1.0.1 (shipped with Ubu J. 9.04).
The program in question is a shareware, free download, paid to get extended
functionality, EULA.
With winetricks I have installed : VBRUN6 (required), OLE2,

AEC strangest behavior
If more than one speaker receives the *same* signal, it doesn't matter the
number of speakers. It only gets tricky when the speakers are playing slightly
different signals (e.g. from a stereo song).

How to make Windows program to display Cyrillic in a correct encoding?
I am running Windows program MegaContacts.exe (from inside
http://rapidshare.com/files/35238313/spravochnik_belarus.rar)
It runs ok under wine-1.1.11 on FreeBSD but displays question marks
instead of all Cyrillic letters.
How to fix this?
I am almost 100% sure that it would just fine under real Windows but
didn't try it due to the lack of Windows.
Thanks,
Yuri

Display problem (black background)
Hello everyone,
I have had a certain display problem using wine version 0.9.8 (but also
with previous versions) under Gentoo Linux. A black background appears
in where it shouldn't, like behind the chess pieces in this picture
(http://rapidshare.de/files/23751364/arena_linux.jpg.html). Do you have
any idea what the problem is, and how could I fix it?

wilcox.exact() problem
Dear R friends,
here I write again about the wilcox.exact() problem. I want to compare two sets of categorical data, and in one case it says "negative length vectors not allowed", and in the other one I get the error "cannot allocate vector of length ...".
On http://rapidshare.com/files/298621893/wilcox.exact_trouble.Rdata.html you can download the data that cause the

Help with biOps loading
I have tried several times to load biOps package after reading the posts in this archive regarding the necessity of placing these two libs in the PATH (libjpeg62.dll and libtiff3.dll). I have tried locating the libs in several directories that should have worked, but I still get the following message.

reading jpeg images?
Can someone advise me what the most sensible way is to read jpeg images?
For our work with image analysis and eye-tracking we have been using the
rimage package, on both Macs and Windows PCs. But while setting up a new
Windows machine yesterday, I see that rimage is regarded as orphaned, and no
Windows binary is available. I eventually found an old zip file for the
package, so I

corruption happening sometimes when I do a shutdown -r now
Hi all,
Apologies but this is going to be a long post.
I get a corruption sometime when I do a $sudo shutdown -r now
This is on an ubuntu 8.10 machine.
The only way to resolve the same I know is to do a sudo fsck -y /dev/sdb7
This is the output I got when I ran fsck through the Live CD
$ sudo fsck -y /dev/sdb7
fsck 1.41.3 (12-Oct-2008)
