D-Link DPH-80S vs *
List, The D'Link phones are not reliable at this time. I am trying to get them fix their Firmware to my specifications. It is half done so far. However there are still hurdles. below email is self explanatory. At present if you want to use these phones, you need to buy D'Link's SIP Server and run this as one of your SIP servers in the blend to call to Asterisk. Seshu Kanuri "G

Need help with H.323
hi all I'm trying to setup a dlink dph-100h phone (actually a dph-100m but with the h.323 software) with asterisk and chan_h323. AFACS, the dph-100h software can only be configured to point to a gatekeeper. I know I don't need to do this, but it's a test before I setup my Symbol Netvision phones (I don't have an access point for them now). First, this is what I have, and what

Dlink dph-140s/ACT P104SLD
I'm still a learning but I purchased a dph-140s to test with AAH 1.5. I think this is a rebadged ACT P104SLD which others seem to have working with *. It seems to be configured and registered similarly to the softphones I've been using just fine, but it does not receive or send audio (it will send audio to vm), or perform the loopback test. It seems to signal and receive calls fine. The

h.323 - success
hi seems like things are closing in to something that might look like success. I have one problem left: I don't get ring indicator when I dial out from the h.323 phone... Sound is good, so it doesn't look like a codec problem. I'm using chan_capi with early B3. I also use gnugp to route the calls from the phones to asterisk, as the dlink dph-100h requires this. Debug output follows:

Hi, list! I'm playing on an Asterisk@home installation, since a month or two. I've had no trouble setting it up 'n running. I've bought a couple of DLINK's DPH-140S SIP Phones, to use with Asterisk. >From this phones, I can make & receive calls with no trouble, but, when I try to use some "interactive" function (eg Directory or Voicemail), the phone seems

Affordable SIP Phone - Stiil a Myth?
Folks! This is to let all of you know that I am making D'Link make an all out effort to make D'Link Phone DPH80 and DPH100 work with Asterisk. I have provided the Asterisk Platform to D'Link's R&D Division located in Goa, India, where their IP phone's SIP Bios is undergoing modifications based on my recommendations/suggestions. I have also provided the test bed &

Hi, I'm playing around with Asterisk and DPH-100M (Dlink mgcp phone) on my debian box. I've got stable version of Asterisk (packaged for debian) working with dlink phone and 7910 from cisco (minimalistic extensions.conf and chan_skinny for 7910) Everything works fine. Now I'm trying to get CVS HEAD working with MGCP. I want to test chan_sccp

Low-memory Centos5?
Good morning, I've inherited an old laptop from my wife that I'd like to use when I travel (it's fairly small with a 12" screen). The bad part is that it is maxed out on memory with 384MB. Has anyone played with using Centos5 on systems with little memory? Ideally, I don't need too much - Firefox, Openoffice, a little Perl/Python/C here and there. I was thinking about using

VSP? Looking for advice.
Has anyone tried using BroadVoice for VSP? I have Asterisk configured for a home office & I've been trying to decide which VoIP provider to go with for a little while now. I had heard you could get sub $.01 calls but I have not found that to be true yet (not saying it's not possible, I just haven't found it!). Also I'm not sure if BV will support multiple lines. Any

TinnR & Philips Webcam
Hi All, I have a Philips Webcam, model SPC110NC. I had to download a diver in order for the webcam to work with Skype from the philips support page (www.philips.com/support). Now when I start up TinnR to use with R, it opens the webcam. If I manually start up R, Tinn R will no longer synch with it. Also, when I install the webcam driver there doesn't appear to be anyway to modify the

D-link DPH-80 (SIP) call to asterisk problem
Hello gentlemen, I am new here. I have a D-Link DPH-80S SIP phone (it's a non-US model), and I am trying to make it work with Asterisk. I tried versions 1.0.7 and yesterday's CVS and the behavior is the same. The phone registers with no problem, and can accept calls. But when I try to make outgoing call, there is a series of invite requests from the phone, to which asterisk responds

Webcam under wine
Hi, I recently installed a webcam under Linux, and I'd like to use it with wine. I'd like to test x-lite with this webcam, but I have no idea how to make it see my webcam. I tried in winecfg, but it doesn't seem to contain anything related to the webcam. I searched on internet, but only found some doc about msn messenger. Apparently, it's kind of a hack, not a way to make the
