Need Help with StatET Error/Bug? on Ubuntu 8.10 amd64
Hi, I posted this message on the StatET-user board last week, but it looks like a ghost-town... I have a bad feeling that there is some code in the plug-in which doesn't work well with my environment, but if I am lucky, maybe other users have worked around this problem somehow - I am hoping that my setup is the issue. Note: very similar StatET setups on 32-bit XP Pro and Vista run

using StatEt IDE for Eclipse
Hi, I'm trying to use StatEt IDE for Eclipse as my R editor, but I'm completely lost. I've read all I could find online, made apparently all I had to do (installing rj, configuraing StatEt, etc.) but still cannot make R running. Below is the error log file. Thank you so much for assistance. Matteo !ENTRY de.walware.statet.r.console.ui 1 0 2011-12-05 16:21:51.355 !MESSAGE

Usage of rJava (.jcall) with Weka functions, any example?
Dear All, I'd like to use Weka functions that are not implemented (do not have interface) in RWeka, like the Remove function and others in the future! The .java() functionality is for that purpose but I haven't seen any example with Weka functions. Could anyone give me hand in how to do it? For instace if I want to use the weka.filters.unsupervised.attribute.Remove? 1. in the R console,

Intermittent connectivity issues for JDBC / Oracle
I have been experiencing issues with an R script hanging when connecting to an Oracle database. To help debug, I found a function here in the nabble forum and made a small test script: #!/usr/bin/Rscript --no-restore --no-save --no-init-file library("RJDBC") drv<-JDBC("oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver","/home/oracle/lib/ojdbc6.jar", "'") dbCheck =

[LLVMdev] templates vs code to generate IR
Gordon reminded me that most people seem to generate code using code, whereas it has become natural for me to use templates to generate code. Let me include an example from an article I'm working on (Java centric). The same argument goes for LLVM IR templates versus using the C++ interface. Generating LLVM IR for me is super simple. Here are a few of my templates for generating IR

[LLVMdev] templates vs code to generate IR
Hi Terence, The reason I remarked, actually, is that for LLVM in particular the C+ + API offers more safety, and emitting .ll generally requires at least partially reimplementing the IR object model. I think this is a topic in the FAQ. But both are perfectly valid approaches! - Gordon On Apr 23, 2008, at 14:04, Terence Parr <parrt at cs.usfca.edu> wrote: > Gordon reminded me that

New to wxruby
Sorry if this is a repost for those of you who are also on the wxusers list. But I thought I might get some more specific feedback here. I am interested in producing graphical interface elements, like those: http://azureus.sourceforge.net/img/sc/2.1.0.2/statistics.png and http://azureus.sourceforge.net/img/sc/2.1.0.2/torrent_general.png Can anyone point me to what wxruby widgets might work to

When I use it again today, I received an error when I reach the last step of generating the data file. *"Error in .jcall(wb, "Lorg/apache/poi/ss/usermodel/Sheet;", "createSheet", : * *

Seeking through Theora+Vorbis ogg file..
Here's the problem: I've rewritten large parts of the output code of cortado 0.1.0 with the following aims: 1. output to something SWT-like instead of AWT. 2. Speed it up a bit. In the rewrites I haven't restricted myself to java 1.1; the fact that it uses SWT all by itself makes it useless for applets anyway. The speedup worked very nicely; it's almost twice as fast as

conflict between rJava and data.table
Dear devel-listers, I found a conflct between rJava and data.table. Actually me questions is where to report it? Should I rather send it directly to the package maintainers or post it on some bug tracker. The problem is that data.table has a function called "J" and rJava uses the same quite intensively. I used the xlsx R package which depends on rJava to write .xls files and ran
