I have a legal version of Quicken 2011 Starter Edition, and I am trying to install it using Wine on my up to date Linux Mint install (Mint 10 "Julia" based on Ubuntu Maverick) I have tried this a couple of ways: using Wine from the default repos (1.2.10 I think?) as well as wine from the WineHQ site (1.3.11) I have tried this install method:

I'm new to Ubuntu and Wine. I've installed Wine (x.x.29) on Ubuntu 9.04, then installed Quicken Deluxe 2009. It seems to work fine but when I attempt to register Quicken I get a page of garbage. Of course Intuit Support is worthless. Somebody out there must work around this problem.

Will give it a try. However the winetricks did allow that part of the program to run. It now freezes at the point you try to register the program. It would not respect the wine internet explorer, so i used winetricks to do the fake, then to actually install ie6. Ie6 is missing the menu bar.
