WinBUGS - R2WinBUGS problem
Appologies for cross-posting Dear R users, I am using R2WinBUGS to call WinBUGS from R. After loading data, model, and initial values I call this command res <- bugs(data = dfile, inits = list(ifile), parameters.to.save = c("beta"), model.file = mfile, working.directory = tdir, n.thin = nthin, n.chains = 1, n.iter = niterations*nthin, n.burnin = 0, DIC = F, debug = T,

Vorbis in Windows Media Player 9, (partial) success
As I said on http://wiki.xiph.org/ClientSupport I managed to get WMP9 under Windows 2003 to work with OGG vorbis files. Requisite : OggDS 0.9.9.5 - they can be opened with the Open... dialog and WMP does not complain any more that it is an unsupported file format - they can be dragged from explorer into WMP and WMP will play them without any complaint - they can be added to the media library.

Windows Media Player Crashes
I installed windows media player 9 with winetricks. It worked but no sound. I tried downloading and installing WMP10 and now it will briefly open like 2 secs and then disappear. It does this every time i try to open. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling WMP9 but it also does this open and crash now. I am using Ubuntu 10.10 and was using wine 1.3 but went back to 1.2 thinking that may have

PowerPoint + video problem
Greetings, gentlemen. I'm trying to make videos play in PowerPoint 2007. I've installed Windows Media Player via winetricks. When I add video into PowerPoint, only sound plays. I tried to install K-Lite Codec pack. In WMP some videos were playing OK, however PowerPoint crashed during video insertion into presentation. When I removed K-Lite, PowerPoint crashes no more but again I can

Creating a Double Bar Graph With Provided DataSet
To the volunteers of R-Help. Hello, I am currently stuck on an RStudio assignment. The assignment involves creating a double bar graph with the provided info http://math.fullerton.edu/mori/data/introstats/pennstate3.txt My professor has only gone over the very basics of RStudio and we only learned how to make a simple bar graph and labeling x and y axis. The specific directions from my

dialplan game
Has anyone built a game with the dialplan? I would think this would most easily be managed by an AGI, but its possible with realtime extensions. The game would be like 'adventure' that I first played on a prime in 1979. Or any of the infocom games (ie zork). Infact since the infocom spec is known it might be possible to plug in the data files directly from an AGI. If anyone has done

Problem running BBC Doctor Who game in Linux Mint Debian
Hi, I have a Toshiba Satellite L500 Laptop running 64bit Linux Mint Debian Edition 201109. The laptop has ATI Radeon M92 (HD 4500 / 5000) graphics. This is based on Debian testing and because at present there is no WINE in the testing repositories, I have installed 1.3.30 from: http://frickelplatz.de/debian/ This seems to work fine: I can run LTspiceIV perfectly. However ... I have tried

Embedded video
Hi! I have a program that I really love to use that's for Windows and it's a recipe database. I know that there are a few available in the Ubuntu repositories, but I really like this one, it's called Cookin' from DVO Enterprises. Anyway it tries to play a .Wm video file at certain points, but whenever it does I get an error message saying that "The specified device is not

Installed Doctor Who Game =P, but get bug error
I went though a good amount of trouble to install the game, because you need to be in the UK to install it, but I'm in the USA. So I get it installed through a proxy and everything is good until I click it to start. It tells me it can't run it because of some bug. I don't know if you can help me or not. Thanks.

[Re: icecast2 ??]
Behold, Adon Irani <adon@YorkU.CA> hath decreed: > > the icecast2 developers be guilt-tripped into repeating icecast's > performance ? > _ is it not enough that OGG can have a streaming server that supports it ? Perhaps, if that is the only requirement to have a fully-functional streamer. Unfortunately, I believe this is not sufficient for the user base. So, if the

Weird validation issue
Hi, I''m having a weird validation issue. Validation isn''t working for certain attributes and, for some reason, it''s also affecting things outside of validation. For campers on certain camp types, we require some information about their school. I tried to validate the information this way: validates_presence_of :school_type, :if => Proc.new { |c| !c.booking.nil?

Shares mount on linux but not windows?
Curious. I have a gentoo server running 3.0.23d that simply serves out shares. It is a domain member, but not a pdc. From another linux server, I can mount up shares without a hitch. But from a windows box, I keep getting prompted for credentials. I am not seeing anything substantial in the logs. SMB.CONF -------- [global] workgroup = UNICITY realm = MYREALM.MYDOMAIN.COM

Adding media with WMP9
Hi! I finally got WMP9 installed and working on wine 0.9.17 on FC5. It can play music fine (don't need it for video), but if I try to add a folder (full of subfolders or just mp3's), than the progress bar stays at 0% forever. I didn't see a bugzilla for it, so I just wanted to make sure that there is no fix first. Thanks! -Steven

Tierra games...
Hi, I found these remakes of old Sierra games at http://www.tierraentertainment.com/ They run on an windows adventure game engine AGS found at http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk Due to the engine author's reclutance for helping linux people, the only solutions seems to be using wine to get these ancient-but-excellent games running. So far they have made King's Quest 1 VGA and
